IMAP function disabled without user interaction (old free plan)

Greetings,

I just noticed that all of sudden my IMAP client for one of my accounts did not want to sync the mail data. On further inspection it seems that the IMAP function was set to disabled and POP enabled.  I know the new free plans does not offer IMAP but I am a user from the first day so my account still has it. 

I was also able to reactivate IMAP again, though it first wiped my account data before it started retrieving it.
This only happened to one my accounts ( I have two ) 

Could be a anomaly could be related to the recent datacenter maintainance.
Either way problem is fixed for me personally but incase more old free users have the IMAP suddenly disabled.

Settings -> Mail accounts-> POP Access Disable  + IMAP Access Enable
