Import validation masks so restrictive and patronizing - makes contacts import unusable.

I tried to import a large contact list into Zoho mail contacts.
The CSV import filter imposed - which is not under my control and I cannot change it - balked at every single record.
I think it should be within margins if I want to import a phone number like "305-555-8899 Ext. 2001", but i can NOT because of restrictive "rules".
Zoho wants to force me to follow a rigid requirement, and honestly I'm quite irritated. I'll not edit 500 records manually just because a <BEEP> import filter is forcing me to. This seriously affects usability, dear Zoho developers.
