old contacts appearing in CC and BCC drop down lists

old contacts appearing in CC and BCC drop down lists

I have tidied up our contacts list but when I go to send an email old and  incorrect addresses appear on my 'personal' list and if I use an organisation list it doesn't show the latest changes.
How do I resolve this please?
