Pause workflow when customer replies, resume if activated by me.

I am trying to set up my zoho campaigns to pause when a customer replies so they aren't getting more automated responses but if their response isn't the type of response that would make me move them to the next stage I'd want to be able to resume them where they left off in the workflow... Is this possible?

I've tried doing it with email responses but you still can't pause them and I believe removing them from the workflow will start them back at the beginning if I put them back in.
