The condition settings for a Date field are are absolutlly usless.

Conditions can only be set for a specific date, which is logically ineffective in most cases.

When setting a condition for a Date field, users usually need to compare the value relative to the current date (for example: greater than, less than, or equal to Today, Current Month, Current Year, etc.), not to a fixed specific date.

For example, how can I create a validation rule for a past date or a future date?

Example conditions:

IF Closing Date ≤ TODAY

IF Closing Date ≥ TODAY
