Hello everyone,

We're always working to improve the Backstage experience for you. And this time, we've rolled out some pretty amazing features and updates to make your event planning a little more effortless.
 
Here's everything that's happened the past few months in a nutshell.

Get specific answers with custom forms 

Maybe you want to find out a little more about your audience or get to know your sponsors a little better, and you've prepared a list of questions but don't know how to get it to them. That’s why we’re bringing you custom forms. Now you can get the answers you need hassle-free.
 

 

Our drag-and-drop Form Builder, with eight different field types, makes it easy for you to design forms that are perfect for your event needs. Customize the event registration and sponsor proposal forms and get the exact information you need from your attendees and sponsors.
 
To customize the event registration form: Go to Microsite Builder > Tickets > Edit ticket form
To customize the sponsor proposal form: Go to Microsite Builder > Sponsors > Edit sponsor proposal form

Track affiliate performance right from Backstage

With affiliate marketing getting more popular by the day, we thought you'd probably be interested in giving it a try. So while you're mapping out an affiliate promotion strategy for your event, why not use Backstage to track the performance?
 

 
All you have to do is add your affiliate to Backstage to get a unique link. Very soon, you'll know how many people are visiting your microsite through that link, the total orders placed, and the total sales generated by way of that affiliate. Pretty awesome, right?

To do this: Go to Event Console > Manage > Promote > Affiliate
 

INTEGRATIONS

The Backstage-SalesIQ integration 

There's so much happening on your microsite that you never get to know. But that information about your visitors will go a long way in helping you pinpoint your strengths and problem areas and improve your user's experience. Here's where the SalesIQ integration can help you.
 

 
Zoho SalesIQ's visitor tracking and live chat features can improve your relationship with both attendees and microsite visitors. SalesIQ will keep track of all the visitors on a portal level, making it easy to get a complete picture of a visitor's interaction with all of your company's events.

To do this: Go to Event Console > Manage > Overview > SalesIQ


OTHER UPDATES 

  • Customize the background color of your emails to align more closely with your organization's brand.
  • Ever wanted to connect your microsite with your business website or blog, linking everything? Well, you can do that now by adding a link to it in the Navigation Bar of your microsite.
  • We've added Forte, PayTM, and iDEAL (Stripe) to the list of payment gateways we support. Choose the payment gateway you're most comfortable with and get the registrations going.
  • You've got the option to allow purchasers to repeat attendee details for tickets in the order during checkout to quicken the registration process. Or you can get all the attendee details then and there. Whatever suits your event's needs best.
  • Send an email notification about changes in the cancellation policy to all your purchasers and keep them updated.
  • The more they see your brand name, the better they'll remember it, right? Now we've got another place for you to highlight it. You can start adding your brand name to the event registration form too.
