Zoho Creator Developers' Month

It’s that time of the year again! Zobot Bootcamps - India

Zoho Extensions 101 – Extensions for Zoho Finance Suite 

This series offers a comprehensive exploration of developing extensions and widgets for the Zoho Finance suite. Did you know that we have a dedicated portal in Sigma with which you can create extensions for a range of applications in the Zoho Finance Suite, including Zoho Books, Zoho Billing, Zoho Expense, Zoho Inventory, and Zoho Invoice? Starting with an introduction to Sigma and the Zoho Books platform, subsequent sessions cover creating extensions, testing, publishing, and listing apps in the Zoho Marketplace. Zoho CRM Client Script 

Fueled by popular demand, we're back with a line-up of sessions in the Client Script series, focusing on advanced features and real-time business applications. Learn how to tailor Zoho CRM by defining highly interactive and responsive interfaces to cater to real-time business needs as our experts and guest speakers from the community walk you through the basics of Client Scripts and showcase various use case implementations. Creator Tech Connect:

Creator's tech connect series would comprise of technical sessions that provide immersive training on the key essentials and technical nuances of building a solution in Zoho Creator. This is a great opportunity for our developer community to stay informed about Creator's new feature releases, product roadmap, best practices to follow while scripting in deluge, new deluge concepts, and cloud functions. The recent series focussed on SAML and Active Directory in Zoho Creator and during the upcoming session we will explore about Managing users and applications in Zoho Creator with Zoho Directory.

  • @Andrew Garcia was struggling to add Google Click Identifier (GCLID) to Zoho CRM Leads using the UPSERT API and was considering a complicated workaround. Thanks to a quick response from @Jeganprabhu S, Andrew realized it was just a small testing oversight—problem solved in no time! 
  • @WM Yeo was trying to set up email reminders for Zoho CRM tasks based on the "Due_Date" field but kept running into errors. After a little tweak here and a nudge there with the help of the community, everything fell into place—combining email and popup reminders, they got everything working smoothly, thanks to good ol' teamwork!
  • The power of community? When your code’s giving you a headache, they’ve got the aspirin ready! Here's a classic example of such a case - When @WM Yeo couldn't get a variable to work with the search function, @Arthur de neuville swooped in with a quick code fix that did the job.

  • Widgets are one way to make your work a lot simpler, and launching them on Zoho Marketplace is one way to help others as well make their work simpler. Check out this awesome (yet free!) widget launched by @Puneet chandhok, which autocompletes addresses in Zoho CRM!
  • And speaking of widgets, check out this template Doug created for building widgets, with support for dynamic configurations!
  • Who doesn't like a good GitHub repository that simplifies their work?! Take a look at thesesCatalyst Node JS functions compiled and shared by Nagarajan. Now that deserves a round of applause!
  •  If there's one thing that makes integrating Zoho products easier, it's to use Deluge—Zoho's proprietary scripting language. And a great starting point is this Deluge Roadmap shared by Rafi (who, btw, just got his Zoho Creator certification, followed by a deluge of appreciation from the community folks!) If you'd like to go more into detail, check out our Deluge 101 series. Also, stay tuned for our in-person Deluge bootcamps coming up pretty soon!
  • The first step of anything coding-related in any Zoho product is the authentication; a seemingly simple yet uber-crucial step. Venessa lends Buddy a helping hand with the same, which results in the longest conversation thread in the history of the Zoho Developer User Group Cliq channel!
  • Sometimes the simplest solutions are right under the nose! Doug faced an issue which was ultimately solved by the oldest solution known to man: turning it off and back again! But, there's more than that to this conversation! It's a classic example of the kind of knowledge exchange that happens within the Zoho Developer Community!
