Text to columns
I'm looking for a way of duplicating Excels Text-to-columns function. Is there one? I have (variable length) data which is space separated and I know the number of columns. I had a quick look at the string functions, but could not find a quick way of getting the n:th occurence of a character from a string. With the indexes I could take substrings from the source string.
Cant seem to import excel file
I click on import, select my local .xls file and then click submit, it looks like it imports te file but I don't see it anywhere. I am unsure of what I have to do after this to view my imported file on ZOHO.

I think that it would be great if I could 'internally' share a document with myself, but not make it publicly searchable and crawlable - like in the case where I want to construct a spreadsheet, and then embed it in a Zoho wiki. Also to make a document public, but without being located on the server in a way that makes it searchable and crawlable by search engines. humanspiritkind
Unable to see Zoho Plugin in Excel Toolbar
Hi I am unable to see the Zoho plugin toolbar in Excel. However it does appear in MS word. I can't see it in the context menu even when I right click on the tool bar. I used to see it earlier (but it always gave me an error when I tried to save documents) until I got some error message that I can't recall now. I have tried to unregister all the dll's and ocx files and installed the plugin once again, but it has not yielded results. Can someone please help? Thanks Nikhilesh Grover

I have been unable to do anything on/with Zoho Sheet today; can't import, can't even enter a number in a cell; can't open a public sheet - in short nothing. I get a server error message "the server has encountered a problem - reopen and try again"

Size of imported Excel workbooks
Is there an limit to the size of an excel doc that can be imported. Either in terms of number of sheets in a workbook or phsical size; ie megabytes ?
unable to import xls files
hi, can anyone please tell me how to import xls files. i get the error as Unable to import content and some times as extension not supported. Iam able to edit and save txt and doc files.

Losing text when trying to edit a wrapped cell
Hi, I imported a sheet from Microsoft Excel, I have from the original file cells wrapped and they appeared nice at Zoho Sheet, but when I click to edit, I lost almost all text of the cell staying only with the first line before the wrap. I tried to click in all arrows, home, end, page up, page down, keys, and I verified that I lost my text. Thanks for the attention! Keep the great job! dan
Expanding sorting selection
I have a spreadsheet where I need to sort in ascending alphabetical order, but I want to expand the sorting to include all 3 columns of the spreadsheet (so that when column A is sorted, the corresponding information in the cells in B and C will follow along). Is there a way to do this in Zoho?

share with a user group
instead of typing in 20 email addresses to share for each document, is it possible to create a user group (e.g. MyTeam) and just type that in to share? The benefit of that is that if you add/remove team members, you just do it once to the user group. And the change will immediately be reflected on all documents shared with MyTeam.

Is it possible to initiate a control-F, search and find on a ZOHO spreadsheet from the Apple iPhone? Hi techies, Your sheet s not working properly for me. I was using google account but due to its limitations tried to switch to ZOHO. But your s/w seems to be at nascent stage, here all the rows with texts running in more than one line takes another row. Hope I am clear with my problem and you will come up with a solution soon. Zoho Sheets
I was working in Zoho sheets. There is a provision for uploading the spread sheets. When I tried uploading a spreadsheet, I found that I was able to select files of any types like docs, txts, gifs etc., Though uploading such files is restricted, it should not allow me to select such files in the first instance itself. My suggestion is that just allow to select only files of type xls and csvs rather restricting while we upload. sudhakarrathinam
OFFICE 2007 Add-Ins Ribbon disappears
I installed the plugin for Office 2007 (I'm running Vista). After it finished installing, it opened up Word & Excel and the Add-Ins Ribbon was there and I signed into Zoho and could use the plugin just fine. The next time I ran Excel, the Add-ins Ribbon was gone. I went into the Excel Options menu and looked at Add-Ins and the Zoho plugin was no longer there. I uninstalled, reinstalled and the same behavior happens everytime. Is there a reason why the plugin won't load each time I open Excel? (Same

Hi, In Sheet, how can I change the colors of bars and fonts? It's pretty hard to read black on blue, which are the default colors. Also I cannot pick e.g. two different rows, if they are not directly bordering each other. This should be possible. Otherwise a great app! Best regards, Kasper kasperns

Well, I wanted to remove line. But I remove a column when one line was completely selected. I have lost all the information. I tried Ctrl+Z, but the information did not come back. Sheet has no version recording. I have lost my data. Any possible action? Thanks. kikomz

Sorting fails
Hello, I am having trouble sorting columns on my zoho sheet. I highlight the range of cells I want sorted, right click, select sort, adjust settings, and hit ok. Then nothing happens. The sorting dialog disappears and the sheet remains the same. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Formatting
I'm finding it impossible to use all of the right click options that I love on excel. I can't use a right click drag to just paste the formats or fill values without deformatting the receiving cell. It's a bit frustrating. casa_azul_llc

I can't find a way to make a complete copy of a sheet (aka "copy and paste myfile.xls in windows") - does Zoho seriously not have a way to duplicate entire files? Copy & Pasting the information inside a sheet to a new sheet only copies text, no formatting! covand
