CRM deals help!

We are using Zoho to track the sale of digital products. The way they are purchased is that the user of our website (the purchaser) goes into their account and 'raises' a deal. This is classed as a 'draft purchase' and we have changed the probability mapping in the Deals module to the four possible iterations on our website (draft purchase / purchase / referral / cancellation'). Every time a change is made by the purchaser, a new row is added to our daily CSV which we then use to upload into the CRM Deals module each morning. However, whatever changes are carried out by the purchaser on our website, the case reference does not change.

For example, a purchase might go in and arrange to buy a product with A value for B people at C cost. This creates a brand new case reference on our website and adds a row to the CSV with Stage set to Draft Purchase. They might then go in later on and change to X value for Y people at Z cost. The case reference does not change, but this would add a new row to our CSV, again with Stage at Draft Purchase. They may then go in a week later and purchase the product at X, Y, Z (as above). This will again add a new row to the CSV but change the Stage to Purchased.

We need to be able to report the A,B,C / X,Y,Z that they are looking at, in order to track customer behaviour. We mapped the case reference in the CSV upload to the Deal ID field. The minute the system had a duplicate Case ID, it declined the data as the Case ID can not be duplicate.

How do we do what we're trying to do, ie view all of the 'history' of a purchase? For some of our sales, there may be multiple versions of the Draft Purchase before they go ahead and buy, and we need to be able to track this and see how many cases are converting etc. If we add them all as separate deals, the data becomes less valuable because it could say an account has lots and lots of Draft Purchases to their name, suggesting they're thinking about buying multiple products, when in reality they may only have one Draft Purchase with mutliple versions because they were indecisive.

I hope this all makes sense and look forward to hearing - thank you!

Sam
