Recource Utilization

Recource Utilization

We use Recourse Utilization feature. It is almost the best tool a Manager can have. But it has a Major bug that many times make it useless.

The problem is especially in large tasks. For example 8hour work task but generally it a problem in every task. When u have planned 8 hours in a task and you have made 50% Completion Percentage this means that the task has 4 hours more to work. The problem is that the app does not calculate the Completion Percentage and keeps calcluating a split between days.
This is ok when you have done 50% of an 8 hour 2-day task in a day because next day calculates 4 hours left. But if
you have completed 90% this means that you have left 1 hour for the next day. But in resource   Utilization the manager keeps seeing that the user is full of job. See the image bellow

We searched for a work around on it and we made a formula field calculating the hours that remain to complete the task as you can see in the image. But we can not make the table calculate it because it is not in hour side but totally backend.

I suggest that your team create a native Programme field to calculate remaining hours and this field to be the field used in your Backend to calculate Recourse Utilization.
I think that this bug is a major problem and i also believe that is not something very complicated for your team because you just have to change the calculation with jist another one number like. Something like this will do the job:
Remaining Hours to complete = (Hour estimation) - (Hour estimation*Completion Percentage)
Then u put this on the estimation and we will finally see the correct image of the work load.

Please anwser me and if this is possible make it a high priority fix because we can not use the tool
for the work it was designed.
If you make this change i think that this will be by far the best feature of ZOHO projects
