Zoho CRM Android App: Record Sharing, Survey Integration & More

Hello everyone,

We've made some important improvements to Zoho CRM's Android app, and we'd like to walk you through the latest updates. Here's what's new:
  1. Record sharing with org users
  2. User image upload
  3. Zoho Survey integration support
  4. Venue preference for the Meetings module
  5. Optional field support for blueprints

Record sharing with org users 

Apart from sharing URLs, you can now share records directly from the app with your entire organization or with specific users, roles, or groups.

Imagine you're meeting a client and need to share their record with your support team for a follow-up. You can share it privately with the relevant team members to ensure they have all the necessary information to proceed.

Types of record sharing  with org users

  1. Public sharing: Share a record with the entire organization.
  2. Private sharing: Share a record with specific members only.


Key highlights: 
  1. Share records with the entire organization or select specific users, roles, or groups.
  2. Set access permissions such as full access, read and write, or read-only.
  3. Include related lists when sharing records, if needed.
  4. Quickly revoke access at any time.

User image upload    

Previously, users could only update their profile images from the Zoho CRM web. With this update, you can now change your user image right from the app by selecting a photo from your gallery, taking a new picture, or uploading from your files.
 

To manage your user image  

  1. Tap on the More icon () > Settings ().
  2. Tap on your user image.
  3. Choose one of the following options:
  4. View image - See your current profile picture.
  5. Take photo - Capture a new photo using your device's camera.
  6. Choose photo - Select an image from your device's gallery.

Zoho Survey integration support  

If you've integrated Zoho Survey with Zoho CRM on the web, you can now manage customer surveys on the go from the Android app. This means you'll be able to:
  1. Create surveys.
  2. Send surveys via email.
  3. View responses.
  4. Take surveys.
 
 

Set venue preferences for the Meetings module 

The Meetings module now enables users to select their preferred venues when creating or editing meetings. You can choose from these three options:
  1. Online
  2. In-office
  3. Client location
 
For client location meetings, the check-in option is available. For online meetings, you can select your preferred provider, such as Zoho Meetings or Zoom, if you've already set it up in Zoho CRM's web app.



Optional field support for blueprints

In a blueprint, some fields are critical and must be filled before moving forward, but others aren't always needed right away.

With this update, you can configure blueprints such that only the mandatory fields and checklist items need to be completed to proceed to the next stage. Fields marked as optional (configured in the web version) can be filled in later or left blank, so you don't have to delay your process while you await every detail.

Additionally, you can now use the Save as Draft function to save your progress, even if some optional fields are empty.




If any mandatory fields or checklist items are missing, the system will alert you so they can be completed before advancing.

 
Notes
Note: Optional fields must be configured in Zoho CRM's web app when setting up the blueprint.
