Trying to understand the best way to record each visit so I can clearly see everyone's activity by customer or by lead, correctly dated and timed. Is entering tasks connected to each account or lead best way to do this? I am a little confused about open or closed task thing, just not sure how to categorize it. Hey Everybody, I am trying to figure out how to put the annual sales revenue in a field (in deals). Basically, my sales reps get paid on a tier system, the more they sell the more they get paid. Right now the look on a spreadsheet which tells them which tier they are in and then they can tell how much commission they will get. Hello, I'm very new to Zoho and I don't seem to understand properly how the formula field works. I want to create a very simple formula that Calculates 15% of the Amount field in our deals form, but I don't seam to find the right formula, keep saying I'm missing braces. Need help with a Formula for empty fields
I can't find how to create formula for empty field. For example if Field Budget is empty, I want the field to be empty. But if budget is more than for example 100, I would like the field to say: "100 is our budget". Any help is greatly appreciated. Boris
How best to copy contents of one column to a different column?
I have a numeric column in Deals that I need to copy ("move") into a single-line string column. When the copy operation is complete, I will delete the original numeric column. I have about 900 Deal records. I know I could do this by exporting the Deals, use excel to do the "copy", then reimport using the "Opportunity ID" as the key...but I've yet to do a mass data update this way and I always get twitchy when doing a global update. Are there better ways to do what I need?
API v1 uploadFile - docx/pdf files cannot be uploaded

Can a contact form submit data as lead to ZohoCRM?

ZohoCRM API returns INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR for salutations with more than 25 characters
If you attempt to insert a lead with a first_name with more than 40 characters, you are returned an INVALID_DATA response with the validation failure. I believe this is the correct behaviour. However if you insert a salutation with more than 25 characters, you get an INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR with no further detail as to what caused the problem.
Pushing data from third party software to Zoho
Hello, I was looking through the different APIs available and couldn't find what I was looking for. My company is trying to push data from our web-based application to Zoho. Tags: Add ability to filter by tags within the Activities module
Currently there is no option to filter by tags within the Activities module but we are able to add tags. Would be great to add this feature as it's currently available in every other module within the CRM including custom modules.
Been using Gmail. Got a new email address via Zoho. All email message is gone from Zoho CRM
I've been using gmail address for email and had set up Zoho CRM with that gmail. However since some recipients won't be able to receive some campaigns from Zoho CRM, I decided to open an email address with Zoho. Now all the email messages attached to Zoho contacts are gone. Can I still keep messages with gmail while I use another email address?
Lead Visibility
Leads added by me, are not visible to my administrator. When i added the lead, i mentioned my name under Lead Owner section. How can leads added by me would be visible to my administrator
Lookup Fields
I have been hearing from both clients and prospective clients about the limit of Lookup fields and I really do not see a reason why Zoho has such a low limit on Lookup Fields (5). This limit posses unnecessary difficultly for users. There are many types of companies that it simply makes great sense for many more look up fields to be uses, Real Estate, Education, Financial, Insurance, to to name a few. At minimum Zoho needs to triple the current limit, and in my view it needs to do that ASAP.
CRMAPI - Constantly seeing message authtoken for account exceeded
I use my laptop to access Zoho when travel. We have a CRM API to link to Pandadoc. Zoho works fine all the time but when I try to create a new PandaDoc I am requested to generate a new authtoken. Then I receive a message stating authtoken for your account exceeded. We have nowhere near exceeded any limits and the problem only appears to occur on my account. I am an admin. Thanks
Deleting CRM for an account
Hi, I have one email address in the organization that created a CRM instance and is super admin. But I wanted to change the super admin to another email address, so I created a second CRM instance under the other email address. No I'm trying to add the old email address to the new CRM instance, but it won't let me because it's already associated with it's own CRM. How can I delete this CRM account for the old email address? I've followed various instructions that say there should be a delete button
Editing Pick-List values
In working with our Contacts module, I removed several values from a pick-list because the system said it was moving them to the "Unused Values" section. However, I can't find any unused values area - only the Unused Fields area. And the online help seems to indicate that if you remove a value from a pick-list, it's actually deleted. What's the reality here? If I remove values from a pick-list, are they really gone forever, or are they truly moved to some storage area that I just can't seem to

This is a simple request: please assign unique icons to different types of phone numbers. For example, you can enter an office phone number as well as a mobile number when creating a Contact. Setting the user's Default View for Contacts, Leads, etc
We want the user to see "My Contacts" or "My Leads" or "My Accounts" when they go to that module. I'm stumped - I set "My Contacts" to be the one Favorite and it doesn't help. If this isn't in the current product, I'd like to suggest the ability to set one View as the default startup View. Thanks!
Maximum number of Contacts synced to Outlook
I synced about 13,000 CRM contacts to a new Outlook Address book and Outlook is now unacceptably slow. A few questions. 1. What's the easiest way to delete that address book so that I don't delete the contacts in CRM? 2. Is there a way categorize contacts in CRM for synchronization into Outlook? For this first attempt I synced everything, then was planning on removing the "Zoho" category in Outlook for selected contacts.

Field permission restriction not being respected
I have a Large Multi-line field called "Notes" with permission set only to "Administrator" but CRM is not respecting that permission setting. A user with only "Employee"-level permissions is able to see the field.

Lead Stolen
Is there anyway to notify the lead owner when a lead is changed/stolen? I have it set so the Lead creator is notified but that is causing some issues as most of the time it is just admin. I want the lead owner to know when someone goes in that lead's profile and change the owner to themselves. Example: Lead Owner: A B changes lead owner to B from A A is sent an email saying 'your lead has been stolen by B' B is sent an email saying 'you are now the owner of...'
Salesforce Migration to Zoho CRM - Problem with the file format of the invoices.
We are currently in the process of migrating from Salesforce to Zoho. All data from Salesforce to Zoho was not the problem. The problem is the bills. Salesforce has a kind of EPS format. But Zoho can not do anything with this format. Now the question: Does anyone have a solution for importing invoices from Salesforce customers into Zoho CRM so that they can be viewed and printed or sent via email? CRM : Modify contact note date?
I just imported my list of contacts in Zoho CRM. I would like to add notes in those contacts in order to keep a track of differents events about them (where I met them, on wich projet, what did we said,...). So I'm gonna add notes to each of those contacts. But these notes allways have today's time. How could I modify this time (inorder to move it in the past, when the corresponding event happened)?
