Timesheets - Suggestions to improve data entry
I've just got a few suggestions to improve the usability the 'Log time' screen for timesheet data entry. (1) Add a portal setting to allow users to type times in 24hr format instead of selecting from dropdowns in 12hr format. I find it much quicker to type times than to select from the drop-downs. (2) On the 'Log time' screen there is a calendar on the left to select the date, and a list of recent entries on the right. I think that a list of entries on the selected day would be more useful. There should be a way to display two project calendars at the same time, or two share a milestone between two or more projects
There are plenty of situation when you want important milestones to be known by all projects manager, to avoid milestone collision, especially when all the project are hosted on the same server (for instance). So the best way would be to be able to create a milestone visible across all projects (It could be for instance "The server is down for maintenance that day, so do no plan to release some newsletter that same day") Another option (less practical, but still possible) is to allow project managers
Duplication
I am importing from MS project and also trying to work within zoho for task updates and reminders etc Every time I import I am getting duplication of tasks. This is causing mass confusion due to conflicting generations of task information from various imports Has anyone had any luck with this. I there a way to bulk delete tasks and is there a way to print all tasks For example my project has 67 taks but zoho has managed to create 790 because the project has duplicated the items over and over again..

File a bug via email - HTML tags are stripped
We are using the feature to file bugs via email, and the bug descriptions appear with no line breaks or any other formatting. I don't see a way to fix this as a portal Admin. Is this a bug, or is there a way for me to fix it?

Updating Dates form Task-view
Under individual projects - Tasks and milestones tab - tasks view, it's possible to change owner, priority, status, etc from the same view (without clicking on "Edit Task'), but it does not allow to change Start Date & End Date. It should be allowed. Opening every task to change the dates are very clumsy and time-consuming. Regards, Deven shah
Default Task List Settings
It appears every time myself or any of our company users has to manually change their task list setting from "Status" "Open" to "Status" "All" each time the page is revisited. Is there any way we can either A.) Have it remember what we set last? or B.) Set a preferred setting in our user/company settings? Thank you.
Forum post deleteion in Recent Activity
When a user or portal Admin deletes a forum post, the action is recorded and reported under "recent activity across all projects" and elsewhere. That is fine, but the content of the post (first few lines) is also displayed, which is not OK. If the post was deleted because it contained sensitive or other material that should not be posted, this "recent activity" listing negates the effectiveness of deleting the post, and in fact worsens the issue, as it calls attention to the content from people that
Document & Contractor Permissions - What a contractor can see
Hi, We want to start letting multiple contractors log bugs and use ZOHO projects. The issue is that when they login they can see : - All Forum Posts - All Documents These contractors only work on one element of 5 and we cant let them see this. I see a year ago someone suggested this , however this is mission critical for our business and I am sure others. Please let me know your thoughts.
Suggestions for Projects Customizable Dashboard (My Projects)
Dear Sir, Please think of providing customizable dashboard for Zoho Projects. In "My Projects" section, Recent projects and active projects is a kind of repeating information. How do we manage Important Milestones (or Events) across all the Projects (or visible in every collaborator calendar)
There should be one calendar visible by all collaborators. If one team member wants to add a milestone that should be known by all the team members, (for instance to make sure that they don't plan important delivery the same day). How does that member proceed ?

It is possible to export a list of Bugs/Tickets. That is great ! Now, what can I do with that export, and more especially, how do I import that list back into ZoHo, for instance to move a list of tickets from one project to another project.

Putting tasks into milestones
I have just started using Zoho Projects and have created a number of task lists. I realise now that I should have created the milestones first, then the task lists within them. Is there any way I can relate the tasks to milestones I am just creating or do I have to type all the tasks in again?
Require Dependency Column in Task window
Currently we can set and view dependency in dependency view window which is very painful excise to me. Weekly Status Reports and Risk/Issue Logs.
Badly miss a lot of reporting in Projects such as being able to capture GANTT chart to paste into documents etc. But the one big win for me would be the ability to automatically build, generate and automatically email a weekly status report in, say, PDF format. MM/dd/yyyy vs. MM-dd-yyyy
I noticed that getProjectTasks(new-format) returns dates in MM/dd/yyyy format and getTaskById(new-format) returns dates as MM-dd-yyyy. quite inconvenient when parsing the xml.
What is the meaning of the "status" parameter in getProjectTasks?
I tried both status=completed and status=uncompleted and the result is not what I expect: Both results contain iscompleted=true and iscompleted=false tasks. Can you explain better this and other parameters of the getProjectTasks (new-format) method?
Since today's upgrade, can't edit a task?
Normally, to edit a Task, I could either click Edit Task, or click on the task and choose the Edit link. Since today's upgrade, neither feature seems to work. Unless the World changed today and people no longer make mistakes or typos, I think you need the Edit feature back in the program ASAP. And if the UI changed and it's just simply more difficult to locate the Edit function, please know that a Zoho Projects user for 2 years, who uses Zoho Projects for 1-2 hours EVERY day, can't find how to edit

Dear Zoho Projects I have just invested in the new ZOHO projects reports section on the Enterprise version I did this to allow me to see all of my projects on 1 gant chart which would allow me to manage all of the projects from a high level However the Gant chart report requests a USER and therethore I can only see one individual's tasks over all projects Why has this been limited in this way? Hi I am subscribed to Zoho Projects and have many ongoing projects. If I also subscribed to Books, can it be linked to a certain project ? IE; if I go that project, is there a direct link to the Books? or is it a totally different portal? If I can link directly to the project (perhaps appear on my dashboard or menu bar) , does Zoho Books allow me to subscribe once and use in different individual projects? or I have to subscribe every time I want to link to a project? Hi guys! Is there any way to disable the poster of an item (be it a new task, task note, forum post, etc) being CC'ed on every email that is sent out? We would only like to receive emails when someone replies to a post I'm subscribed to, or if someone subscribed me to a new post. Thanks in advance! -Matt
