Create Instant Polls, Broadcast Messages, and Enable Co-organizers to Launch Webinars
Hello,
Features
Co-organizers can now launch webinars
Co-organizers
, who are members of your organization, can now start webinars just like the organizer. This comes in handy to avoid delays if the organizer is away on an emergency or unable to start the webinar. All co-organizers (both organization members and external contacts) can also launch polls, answer questions, allow an attendee to speak, or make someone a presenter. To enable co-organizers to start webinars, admins can activate the option under
Settings
>
Manage organization
>
Webinar Settings
.
Broadcast a message to your audience
Organizers and co-organizers can now share messages and links with your audience during a webinar. Notify users when your
Q&A
session starts or when an attendee is about to speak. You can also broadcast messages to initiate impromptu polls using the
Raise Hand
option.
Create polls during a webinar
Based on how your webinar goes, you might want to get more information from your audience through polls. In addition to launching
polls
that you have already created, you can now create instant polls during the webinar itself.
Note:
Only webinar organizers can create instant polls.
Add webinars to your calendar
You can now add your webinars to Google and Yahoo calendars from the relevant options in the webinar registration page or the registration confirmation email. You can also add webinars to other calendars like Outlook by
downloading the .ics file
.
Enhancements
- We have increased the Q&A character limit from 150 to 500 for questions and 200 to 2000 for answers.
- When a webinar reaches the maximum attendee limit, organizers and participants who try to join will be notified through a message.
- You can now share links via chat in online meetings.
- When the computer audio/screen sharing connection to the server can't be established, you'll be prompted to download the desktop app to continue with the session.
- You can now delete recordings from your Zoho Meeting account if you don't need them anymore.
- Issues related to joining webinars from the iOS app has been fixed. Webinar registrants joining from iOS devices will now get into the webinar directly through the app while accessing the join link.
- We fixed the issue of having to download the desktop app every time server mapping has been modified. Now the desktop app will only be downloaded once, and for subsequent sessions you'll automatically join with the desktop app without having to download it.
Try out these updates and let us know your feedback. We hope you enjoy using
