New in WorkDrive: Device management and app permissions
With the new Device Management feature in Zoho WorkDrive, Admins can now view and manage their team members' WorkDrive app-connected devices. This feature allows Admins to do the following:
- View connected devices
- Manage app permissions
- Disconnect devices, or wipe WorkDrive files and disconnect devices remotely
View connected devices
View the list of devices that are connected to the mobile and desktop apps for each member. Know the device name, last accessed date and time, IP address, and location of the connected device.
Manage app permissions
Allow or disable desktop and mobile apps for your team members. When disabled, the particular member can no longer access WorkDrive files via these apps.
When you disable apps, a team member's offline files in the previously connected devices will be removed and the member will be logged out of the mobile apps on all their devices.
If you want to set app permissions at team level, go to Admin Console > Settings > WorkDrive Apps. If disabled, no team users will be able to use WorkDrive apps. Learn more
Disconnect devices, or wipe WorkDrive files and disconnect devices remotely
When you find any suspicious device, you can disconnect or wipe and disconnect the device. You can disconnect a device if you just want to temporarily log out the member from the app in the connected device. You can wipe and disconnect a device if you want to remove all synced or offline WorkDrive files from the device and log out the member from the app.
When you find any suspicious activity from a team member's account, you can wipe and disconnect their devices one by one or all at once.
Support for managing connected devices and app permissions is only available in WorkDrive's Business plan. (Check all WorkDrive plans)
