AI fields
Availability: All paid subscriptions from our latest pricing


We've introduced fields that use Zoho's Artificial Intelligence (AI) to perform prediction, keyword extraction, sentiment analysis, OCR (optical character recognition), and object detection.

Prediction field
  • This field predicts another field’s value. Learn more
  • Target field - This is the field for which you want to predict value
  • Predictor fields - These are the fields that you want the AI to use in making the prediction
  • Training data - These are the records that you want the AI to analyze and learn from to make the prediction
  • Supported data types - The target and predictor fields can be number, decimal, currency, percent, date, date-time, drop down, radio, lookup (single-select), and users
  • The data type will be the same as its target field—the prediction field's data type will be BIGINT when you're predicting the value for a number; TIMESTAMP when you're predicting the value for a date or date-time field.
  • Once you add a prediction field to your form, you cannot change its properties—target field, predictor fields, and criteria for identifying the training data. However, you'll have the option to retrain the model.
Keyword extraction field
  • Extracts keywords from text stored in a single line or multi line field. Learn more
  • The output will be comma-separated keywords
  • Keywords can currently be extracted from English text
Sentiment analysis field
  • Determines if the sentiment of the text stored in a single line or multi line field is Positive, Neutral, or Negative. Learn more
  • Sentiment can currently be analyzed from English text
OCR field
  • It performs optical character recognition to extract text from an image. Learn more
  • Currently the field can recognize letters from the English alphabet
  • OCR can be performed on JPG, JPEG, and PNG images
  • Source image must be stored in Zoho Creator. In other words, OCR won't be performed for records where the source image field stores the URL of a public image.
Object detection field
  • Detects the class of objects present in an image. Learn more
  • Refer to the above Help document for the object classes that can be detected by our AI
  • Objects can be detected from JPG, JPEG, and PNG images
  • Source image must be stored in Zoho Creator. In other words, object detection won't be performed for records where the source image field stores the URL of a public image.
Note
  • Currently AI fields can use only data present in the same form
  • An AI field cannot be referred to by another AI field. For example, the sentiment analysis field cannot act on an OCR field; the prediction field cannot use the data in another AI field.

Schema builder

The Relationship Diagram feature has evolved to become the Schema Builder. Learn more
  • Each circle in the schema represents a form in your app
  • A line will connect two forms if they are related via a lookup or subform field. Bidirectional relationships will be denoted by a 2 on the connecting line.
  • The size of a circle indicates that entity's dependency level. The form that most has the most number of dependencies will be the biggest circle.
The schema builder enables you to:
  • View the fields that form the relationships in your apps
  • Create relationships between the forms via the lookup fields

Contextual messages for reports
Availability: Premium and above subscriptions from our latest pricing

There are 33 messages that a report in a Zoho Creator app displays. With Contextual Messages, you can now customize these messages to suit your reports better, and make them more contextual. Learn more

For example, imagine a real estate company named Zylker Homes. Their website includes a report from their Creator app, which enables visitors to search through their projects. When there's no data that matches the search criteria, the report by default shows "No data available". This message can be made more contextual with "No property currently matches your search criteria".
  • This feature is available in your app's Settings > Contextual Messages page
  • You can associate a set of custom messages with all the reports of a form, or have different message sets for each report
  • You'll have to download the XLSX file containing the default messages, add the required custom messages to it, and then upload the file back to your app
