Announcing new features in Trident for macOS (v.1.5.0)

Hello everyone! 

Trident for macOS (v.1.5.0) is here with new features to enhance your email experience and productivity. Let's take a quick look at them.

Edit templates 

Previously, you could create email templates in Trident to save messages that don't change from time to time. With this update, we've supported editing templates so you can make changes to the templatised messages anytime you want. You can choose to overwrite the template with recent changes or create it as new.

Forward emails as attachments 

With the Forward as Attachment option, you can now seamlessly forward up to 100 emails, or ten threaded conversations, as .eml file attachments. You can also drag and drop emails to the Mail Composer to add them as .eml file attachments.

This way, your recipients can view the forwarded emails just like how you received them first—with the fonts, colors, and layout perfectly preserved, as opposed to the quoted text they see when you normally forward emails.

Set due date and priority for tasks using Smart Assistant 

Previously, you could create tasks for yourself or your teammates using the Smart Assistant. With this update, we've supported the Due Date and Priority options for better task management.

Furthermore, you can now create tasks and assign due dates in Smart Assistant like how you would casually speak. For instance, type the task title and add terms like "today," "tomorrow," or any specific date. With Natural Language Processing (NLP), the Smart Assistant will understand your command and automatically create the task with the specified due date.

To leverage these new features in Trident, update the app to the latest version by following the steps below:

  1. Open Trident.

  2. In the system menu bar, click Trident.

  3. Select Check for Updates from the menu list.
