Trident for Windows just received a major update, with a range of capabilities that focuses on strengthening communication and simplifying workflows.
Let’s dive into what’s new!
Upload email attachments to WorkDrive.
Until now, you could drag and drop email attachments one at a time to the WorkDrive widget without downloading them to the system.
With the new '
Add to WorkDrive' option, you can now select and upload multiple email attachments at once. This makes it even easier to move files from your inbox to WorkDrive without the extra step of saving them to your device.
Block and reject future emails.
When you receive emails from an unknown sender with malicious content, you can choose to
block and reject emails from that sender. This will move the current email to the Spam folder and bounce all future emails from the sender back to them.
Report phishing emails.
If you receive an email that appears suspicious, you can now
report it as a phishing attempt directly from the Mail Detail view. Reported emails are moved to the Spam folder, and similar emails are automatically filtered into Spam in the future. Reporting such emails helps improve protection against similar threats.
Know when emails track you.
Annotate images while composing emails.
Stay alert during email exchanges.
A
warning message is now displayed in the Mail Detail view to protect users against malicious content and phishing attempts in the following types of emails:
- Emails identified as potentially harmful, such as phishing attempts, unauthenticated senders, or emails containing risky attachments.
- Emails that may contain potentially unsafe elements, such as password-protected attachments or suspected spam patterns.
- Emails that require user awareness, such as messages from first-time senders, external senders, or non-contact email addresses.
Create filters from emails.
You can now
create filters directly from an email to organize similar emails in the future automatically. The filter conditions are automatically populated based on the email’s details, making it easier to set up filters and manage incoming emails.
Along with these updates, you’ll now also see an alert when forwarding emails with images that haven’t been downloaded, ensuring that they appear correctly for the recipient.
To leverage these new features in Trident, update the app to the latest version by following the steps below:
1. Click the Main Menu icon on the top-left corner of the app.
2. Select Check for Updates from the menu list.

here. Trident is available for free for all paid and trial users of Zoho Mail, Zoho Workplace, and Zoho One (using Zoho Mail).
