Automate Timesheet Approvals with Multi-level Approval Rules
Introducing Approval Rules for Timesheets in Zoho Projects. With this automation, teams can manage how timesheets are reviewed and approved by setting up rules with criteria and assigning approvers to handle submissions. Timesheet, when associated to an
approval rule, moves through one or multiple levels of approval, giving managers better control on logged hours before they are finalized for payroll or invoicing.
A
timesheet is essentially a collection of time logs grouped together, making it easier to submit for review and approval in one go rather than sending each time log individually. The Timesheets tab as a separate module will appear in the left navigation panel only if the portal is configured with the approval setting Based on Timesheet.
For example, a project user working on multiple tasks within a project. Each day, the user logs time against the tasks, which will be ongoing for months. Instead of submitting each time log individually in the Time Logs tab, the user can create a timesheet for a period of 30 days from the Timesheets tab, keep adding logs to it as a draft throughout the month, and review everything at the end before submitting it for approval.
Alternatively, the user can group existing time logs and
group them into a Timesheet from the Time Logs tab.
