Effortlessly analyze a report with contextual quick-view filter | Zoho CRM

Dear Customers,

We hope you're well!

We are here with nifty enhancements to the reports feature in Zoho CRM.

Reports gives you a real-big picture of your business' performance as processed data. This useful tabulation of data can sometimes be extensive to look at. That is why Reports in Zoho CRM come with a filter to finely sift through the data quickly. However, the filter you see in Reports thus far filters only based on date/ duration of the records. That is, it had only the date-type fields as parameters.
Now, to derive fine-grained data from your reports, we have enhanced the scope of the filter. Let's learn more!

Introducing the quick-view filter

The quick-view filter comes with the ability to add about five filter criteria to a processed report. It lists all fields from the participating modules in the following types: Date, Date Time, Checkbox, User Lookup, Picklist, Multi Pick List.

By ascribing desired filter attributes, you can narrow down your reports to meet your requirements while analyzing the resulting data in tandem.
The next time you share a sales report with your team, they can quickly sift and view products-based revenue, individual contribution and performance, channel-wise split, and more, without having to download a physical copy to derive these insights.

Owing to this update, we have repositioned the filter to the left-side panel of the report page. Now, as you search, the results will be rendered simultaneously.

Pre-define your filters:

In addition to filtering data on-demand, you can also determine filter criteria in the report preview stage itself. Once you have configured your modules, a preview is displayed with data applicable to the configuration. As you define the columns, rows, and aggregation patterns, you can also pre-define your filters. Predefining filters at this stage will ensure the report you share with your peers will be sent with the attributes applied.

Let's say, for example, your sales reporting executive draws a sales report for the quarter and distributes it with the sales managers to assess lead conversions by sales reps during that period. Now, instead of sharing the report as a whole, you can pre-define the same using this filter in the preview stage itself. The sales managers can directly look at the number of conversions and value of conversions by their representatives for the quarter without any hassle.

Along with these updates, the picklist values participating in the report will also bear the designated color codes henceforth.

That's about the enhancements to the reports in Zoho CRM. We believe these enhancements help you access your reports with improved dexterity. If you have feedback or concerns, please comment below. Let's connect!
