Help Needed: Jira to Zoho Projects Migration — Tickets Imported as Unassigned & Comments Under Admin Name

Hi Zoho Team and Community,

We recently completed a migration from Jira to Zoho Projects using the official import method outlined in this Zoho Help Article.

Issue Summary:

  • We had already added all users to Zoho Projects before the migration, using the same email IDs and names as in Jira.

  • However, all imported task are marked as "Unassigned", even though they had clear assignees in Jira.

  • Additionally, all old comments are appearing as if posted by the Admin account, rather than the original Jira user who made the comment.

Questions:

  1. Is there a way to auto-map or reassign the imported tasks based on the original Jira assignee (since the email IDs match)?

  2. Can the comments also be retagged or mapped to the correct user instead of showing under the Admin account?

  3. Are there any post-import scripts, bulk update methods, or hidden settings we can use to correct this user mapping?

  4. If this is a known limitation, what is the best workaround to retain user-level attribution during such imports?

We want the historical tasks and discussions to reflect the correct ownership for internal accountability and recordkeeping.

      Hi All, Today, we have made an enhancement in task inline editing. In 4.0, task edit is moved in a single screen in a pop-up. We designed this in-order to make the task edit across the product to be the same. Let it be in Feeds, Tasks & My Tasks tab, Calendar & My Calendar tab, a click on the task title will open the popup and user can edit the values. Customers pointed us the inline editing was very useful to them & how much they miss that in 4.0. Based on the feedback, we have rolled out this enhancement.
