Unable to receive emails through smtp servers

that is the error I get when trying to add zoho to hotmail (to send and receive emails through hotmail).
I used the following settings:

Incoming POP3 Server settings
pop.zoho.com
Port 995
ticked requuires a secure connection (SSL)

Outgoing SMTP server information
smtp.zoho.com
Port (tried 25, 465, and 587). 25 and 587 does not seem to work. 465 allows me through but gives me that error.
Ticked Requires  a secure connection (SSL/TLS)

Please provide some tips to get around this. thanks
