Why Sharing Rules do Not support relative date comparison???

I am creating a Sharing Rule and simply want to share where "Last Day of Coverage" (Date field) is Greater than TODAY (Starting Tomorrow). However, sharing rules don't have the option to compare a date field to a relative date (like today), only to Static date. This is really frustrating and extremely inconsistent across Zoho CRM. 

1. Filters in any module support relative dates

2. Workflow rules support relative dates.

3. Reports support relative dates

4. Share rules do NOT support relative dates. WHY?? Can this be addressed?
