Auto Populate Fields on Form
Ok so I have a table with 8 columns. I have a correspondng form that has 8 fields which correspond to the 8 table columns (Field 1, Field 2, Field 3 etc..). The first field ion the form is a pull down. I want to make it so that when I chose a record from the pulldown in the first field, the other 7 fields auto populate the corresponding data from the table. For example, the first field in clients name and the other 7 fields contain contact info. When I choose a clients name in the first field of

IE 7 Bug
Clicking on the record summary in embedded in website mode in IE 7 locks the page up. I have to refresh the page to regain functionality. FireFox works fine. ricardobarrera
Public fields visible in public app
Hey, I'm wiriting this on behalf of recent post which didn't receive the answer, i hope that the moderator did not notice it, so i want to get some attention :) i can't put a tick on wanted form. If I put it there it is being put on every "box", so i can't just put a tick on my wanted "level". I have just one form(if it changes something). Any other advices? Error on form submition
Hi, I'm new to zoho creator, and I'm getting an error with my first application. When I submit the form while the associate liste has 1 row, I got the error message saying: 1 . [t_29987000000004009] null, message from server: "Duplicate entry '' for key 2". All my required fields are filled, and I remove any unique field. Thx for your help bidon1

Okay, I must be crazy but I CAN'T FIND THE CREATE LEAD BUTTON. I read the forums and it says it's in the Lead Detail page and that to get to the Lead Detail page you have to click on the name of the Lead in the lead list. YET THERE IS NO NAME LINK TO CLICK ON THE LEAD LIST? I've tried both IE and FF and clicked on every imaginable area on the lead list and I JUST CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT? Help... GammaRay
Duplicate Error Message And Database ID
Is there a way to overide the message when you try and insert a value that is a duplicate for a field? Currently it is something like: 1 . [t_26072000000004095] null, message from server: "Duplicate entry 'test@faf.dd' for key 2". That inst very nice, I would like to overide this. Also, is there a way to change the ID, currently they are like: 26072000000004487 26072000000004353 Would be nice if they started at 1 and just incremented. Thanks.

How to use text as numbers in Deluge
Sorry, I'm not a programmer or I might have tried more to figure this out. I have two number fields: "Width" and "Height". I need to multiply them to create formula with area. This is no problem: (Width * Height) I also need to create text that reads "8.5x11". I've tried creating a formula using combinations of single-quotes, double-quotes, and +. How to I treat number fields as text and operate on them as text? helsten
Help with "On change"
I would like to capture loginUserId when the user update a record. So I created a field "updatedBy" and set Deluge action script for "on change" to updatedBy = zoho.loginuserid; When I updated a record this field had not changed. I have this work before, but I could not make it works again. Did I do something wrong here? Thanks.
Download / Upload Options
I know that the download / upload formats will maintain the integrity of the text data I input in a form. However, on many entries, I have attached related files to them. Do any of the formats support a download (and hopefully re-upload) of application datasets that include attached files? A feature that would allow me to somehow do this would greatly help me back things up more completely, and, if I chose to, transfer "ownership" of a an entire database (including the files attached to certain entries)
"on success' really means "on add"
The documentation does not make clear that "on success" event only occurs once when a recorded is added. I thought that it was supposed to fire every time record data was persisted. It would be clearer if this event was named "on add" In any event, clearer documentation would have saved me a few hours of puzzlement.
Bug in table view
I've noticed a bug i think. when i open any of my views there are bulk edit, duplicate, and search buttons at the top ... however if i change the number of records per page these buttons disappear. is it just me or has this been noticed before? all the best abigscot dave

Date/Time Question
I have checked the Deluge Script help, but cannot find anywhere that shows how to get the current date/time. What I would like to do is get the current date and compare it to a date to determine how much is due. In other words If today <= September 15, amount due is $15 If today > September 15, amount due is $18 How would I do that?

Shared users can't rearrange columns in list view
Although I can use the Column Display/Rearrange option in More actions on a list view to change the order of the columns, the users who I have shared to can't. They don't see they up and down arrows on the right side of the option box. Is this an intentional restriction or a bug? Is there anyway round it?
Auto Create
I was wondering if you were to make a application were you enter jobs into the system, could you have zoho create a note section (and Various other sections) automatically upon submitting the new job. Also have some sort of link in the view of new jobs so it would take you to that particular jobs notes?
Submission Errors in Firefox
For the database I made, when users go to input their information, but it errors and says that the first field is empty. It's a mandatory field, so they cannot submit. If the field is not mandatory, it submits with a blank field that cannot be edited. This problem has also appeared in Netscape, but not in IE. Unfortunately, I have about 100 users, and 90% use Firefox.

Is there any way to use the selection from one picklist to filter or limit the values in another picklist within the same form. Not sure if this is a feature request or what. I'm looking to auto-fill one of my form fields, but only on submit, not sooner, since the fill value will be driven by a db query. I have 2 forms, 'project' and 'job'. time field
I just discovered you guys thanks to an article in PC World Magazine! Un-Freaking-Real!!! WOW!!! I have poked around a little bit and one useful feature - for me at least - would be to have a time field (there is a date field) like 6:00PM or 18:00. The cool thing about that would be that in calendar view, you could see two things on the same day in the order of time. I don't know, I am not a programmer at all, but I have very specific things that I want and I have never been able to find a "solution"
