Can I create a New User?
We've a requirement to create new user and assign that user to existing project. Do we've this facility in Zoho Projects?

Need clarification on associating tasks with milestones
Before discovering milestone related tasks, I built out all tasks. If I enter milestones after creating tasks (under one tasklist), can I associate those tasks to a milestone? Must you associate a separate task list to each milestone? If you are going to use milestones, do you have to start there (create milestones first) to get tasks to associate to them? If you have to start with milestones to get tasks to associate to them, you should make documentation clearer; I can't find anything on this subject.
Setting Project Days and Report Colors
I have just started using Zoho Projects for the first time. I need to figure out two things before we can decide whether to continue using this product. 1. This particular project we are working on, would be developed only on certain days of the week, namely Mon, Tues and Friday. Is there anywhere in the options for the project/milestone where i can set the work days to be only certain days of the week since that would make scheduling people much easier and the reports would be more accurate? 2.

it is very frustrating trying to look at the big picture on a milestone which has many tasks for several different people. I need a calendar view that shows not just the project scope but actually can give me a view which has tasks appearing only on the deadline. Rebecca

how do you deactivate a zoho projects users without loosing their timesheet entries etc. I dont want their name showing up in user lists etc? Old staff who have been replaced.

Task Comments to a Select User/Member
Hi There, I am trying out the new Zoho projects interface and I see that when I add a comment to a task, I am not able to select an individual it just has the Add Comment button. Why was the feature to be able to select an individual person taken off. I like to make comments but I do not want my comment going to everyone at the moment only to the person responsible for the task not to all the members of the project.
Google Docs / Upload docs
I have been adding my google documents as a link in the links section, as if you 'upload' them, Zoho converts them to Zoho Writer. I cant see the point of creating a doc in Google docs, and then importing it, I would either use Zoho Writer, or Google Docs, not both. (And we love using Google Docs!) Can we not have the option of converting to Zoho Writer if we want to, or importing a link to the Google Doc? Be easier to manage. Thanks

If I share a Google doc in Zoho Projects, is it just a link to the Google doc on Google servers, or is it copied and stored in Zoho Projects (takes up Zoho storage space)?
Generating browsable URL from GUID projectid and bugid
I'm trying to generate a url to a bug detail page (in the Projects bug tracker) from the identifiers passed back from the Projects RESTful API. The IDs I get back from the API appear to be GUIDs however, the URLs I see in the browser all used integer IDs. Is there a URL format available that takes the GUID form IDs, instead of the integer IDs? I've tried the following format, but it didn't work https://projects.zoho.com/portal/{portal}#bugdetail/{projectid}/{bugid} Thanks!
Maximum Note Length
One of my associates has reported that some of the notes he has made have been lost. After poking around the only think I can figure out is that his notes were too long and not storing properly. Is there a maximum note length? If so, I suggest implementing some means to limit the text before submitting or validate length after submitting. helsten
Email Notification triggered by completed Predecessor
Is there a way to have a task emailed only after the preceding or dependent task is completed? We have projects with dozens of tasks so when the template is moved over on a new project every user gets multiple emails with the tasks. When most of these tasks are not going to be completed for 4-6 months this creates a nightmare for the users in terms of sifting through active, current tasks that require attention as they have to be aware of which tasks have the dependencies met in order to proceed.
Adding creation of New Bugs from Email
While in email I have the ability to take an email message and turn it into any of the following: A New Task A New Forum A Timesheet Entry A New Project See Screenshot below: How about giving us the ability to turn it into a new Bug or add it to an existing Bug. Email Link Formatting
Hi, It would be very useful to forward emails to the address link provided to associate the email with tasks. Normally we save our emails as a pdf and save them on our server so that we now exactly what occurred verbatim according to the email. But when sending this to the link the formatting comes out very difficult to read. Is there any method or suggestions to work through this? THanks

Projects and Sheet Issues
We are having issues with a Zoho Sheet we have in the project. (Well all sheets). Even with a strong wireless signal, often my sheets "disconnect from the server" even when my computer remains connected to the internet. Linking to a project doc from project wiki
I have a Project Pages (Wiki) that I use within my project. However, it seems to be a self contained entity where I cannot link or embed a Doc or spreadsheet that is part of the Project right within the Project Pages... Why not? I do not want to re-upload as an attachment within the wiki as well as in the project docs because then I have 2 independent copies. Also, when linking it allows from a URL, "Wiki" or Google Docs... why not Zoho Project Docs or Zoho Docs?
Organise forum into groups
This forum is difficult to navigate. I have no choice but to start at the top and trawl my way down through every topic. Why can't it be organised by function? When i use ZOHO projects, it is divided into the various functions dashboard,tasks, calendar, documents,timesheet,forum, pages, chat, users. No login for new user
Hi, when i invite a new user to the portal or to a project, there is no temp password included in the invitation for them to log in with. And therefore, are having trouble logging in/creating an account. How is a new user supposed to log in for the first time?
Problems with Client Users in 4.0
I don't know what is going on, but my company just made the switch to Zoho from a competitor. All of our testing went well, but now the most important part of the product for us does not work at all. When we add clients as client users, zoho does not send anythign out to them asking them to register. Their email addresses are listed under the client companies, but they have no way of coming to the site to register for our portal. Also, under bugs, we are not able to include our clients in email notifications.
user forgot password
hi, is there any chance to reset a user�s password in the administration role? as i found out it also doesn�t help to delete and add the relevant user from projects and zoho. does anyone know what to do on this? thanks!
Reordered subtasks revert back to original order when tasklist is saved as template... why?
When I save my tasklists as templates, the template version reverts back to the original task order (if subtasks have been reordered). Is there a way to prevent this? Why does this happen? I also have to enter subtasks in the opposite order I want them to appear (starting from the last and ending with the first). Is this an issue with settings, or is there anything I can do to change this? Any help would be great! Thank you!
Forgot Password does not send any email
Example problem: Client Users does not know password. Click Forgot Password on login page. Enter email, etc. Appears to be successful. No email is received. Nothing in SPAM folder. I have waited more than 3 days now for a response. I am also angry that every forum post a make seems to disappear or never gets posted!
The effect of an upgrade on contractors
At the moment, my project is only using the Free Online Zoho Project. If I, as the Administrator, raise some funds to purchase the upgrade I think that I need, do all the other contractors have to upgrade too or will they still be able to read and facilitate their task completions etc from the free online product. when you export the time sheet teh date field is not migrated as Date so it is uselss in Zoho Reports or any other pivot you are trying to use to play with the data
Recurring weekly tasks
Hi, In a project when we set the a test to be a recurring task we select a date start and a date end - for instance in three months time. Then we set the recurring to be one every week for 9 week. However, the system just puts the task on every day and not each week. This is a glitch with your system I think, can you test it for us and see if you have the same issue. I keep getting clients telling me their invitation expired. It has only been a couple of days. I can't find anything about this. Do they have a limited time to login and create their account?

In my company we have at least 20 projects going on at the same time. Is there a way I can sort them, maybe place them in different folders?
Bugs -- External and Notifications
If client users can only view external bugs, why do they get notified about internal bugs? I don't want client users to be notified about internal bug reports.
