H we recently moved to Zoho and starting to regret that I didn’t see this issue all the way through before making the leap. The issue were running into is the o365 calendar sync doesn’t actually sync.
Specifically events sent to me do sync. Events created in Zoho also sync to o365. however events I create in outlook or The o365 calendar do not sync to Zoho (making the parts that are working more/less useless).
*o365 is connected in Zoho successfully, Inside o365 it shows Zoho connected with permissions To calendars, contacts and the Zoho calendar in outlook and o365 is checked/being used. It’s not a user/setup issue. Sync simply isn’t working.
Moderation Update (11-Jul-23):
A quick summary of things we’re working on about the upcoming release of O365 integration:
1. Option to select any calendar from the list of available calendars in your Office 365 account, including your default calendar, to set up sync.
2. Ability to change the sync options between Two-way and One-way based on your needs.
3. Option to set up unavailability sync based on calendars in your Office 365 account. Instead of creating an event in Zoho CRM, to avoid conflicts, you can mark yourself as unavailable in your Zoho CRM Calendar based on meetings scheduled in the Office 365 calendars that you select here.
And the ETA for this stands the same, August Q3 2023.
Other feedback received in this post :
1. Participants from Outlook O365 weren't synced to Zoho CRM which we checked and got it fixed.
However, as Vignesh stated in the below comments, the participants added in Zoho CRM cannot be synced to O365, as we have intentionally stopped sending participants' information to Office 365 when meetings are created from within CRM because there is a glitch in Office 365 API that sends multiple invitation emails to participants. We’re checking this with Microsoft and will keep you posted once it’s fixed.
2. Regarding support for recurring events sync, as Sukumar suggested, this development is to be handled separately, and we have a separate post to follow for this. To continue further discussion, we request you all to follow this forum post.
3. Adding an entry to the timeline of a particular lead/contact when they are added as a participant in a meeting: We have prioritized this and added it to our development pipeline.
