Advanced Formatted Resume Templates can now be created and used directly from the Applications module, with support for application module fields.
Until now, Advanced templates were limited to the Candidates module. That meant resumes generated from Applications could not use the Zoho Writer document editor, apply branded layouts, or include application-specific field data.
What's New
While creating Advanced Templates from Setup > Parser Management > Formatted Resume Settings, you will see a module drop-down. You can select Applications from said drop down and filter Application-specific resume templates.
When you create a new template, you choose to include Application module fields in it from the Automate section of the template builder (powered by Zoho Writer).
Don't have any templates? No problem!
You can create Advanced Templates on the go when you are generating a formatted resume for an application record. Just click + Create Advanced Template and your already getting one set up, it's that easy!
Download the Candidates module template from the setup page and upload it for the Applications module to continue from where you left off.
Important Note:
- If you have been using Advanced Resume Templates in the Candidates module, those templates will not automatically appear in Applications after this update. To use Advanced Resume Templates for application records, you will need to create separate templates specifically for the Applications module.
- You can create up to five Advanced Resume Templates per module.
Why this matters
Resumes are often shared for a specific job opportunity, but candidate-level templates only include candidate information and miss context tied to the application.
With dedicated templates for the applications module, teams can include both candidate and application-specific details in a single formatted resume.
