Did you know you can import task blueprint into Zoho Projects instead of building it from scratch?
Tasks can sometimes have multiple stages and move through several stakeholders before completion. Without a defined process, task changes can happen without any oversight or control. A
task blueprint streamlines the process by defining the flow, user access, and actions triggered at each stage of the task. Configuring blueprints from scratch can be a tedious and time consuming process.
With the import option, a Blueprint can be brought in instantly using a JSON file instead of rebuilding the same workflow manually each time. It can be published across
tasks that follow a similar workflow. For tasks that require variations, tweaks can be made prior to publishing the blueprint. This offers flexibility and speed.
Only JSON files are supported for Blueprint import. Existing Blueprints can also be exported as a JSON or PNG file for sharing and reuse.
Let's consider an interior designer working on Residential projects with a set of Blueprints built from projects completed so far. While working on a project that involves 3D Visualisation, they need to set up a Blueprint for the task. Since the existing Concept Presentation Blueprint follows a similar flow, they can import it as a JSON file, tweak and publish it without rebuilding it manually.
Here is a quick walkthrough on setting this up:
You can also use AI to generate a blueprint JSON file based on your workflow description and import it directly to ease the process.
