Enhancements to make your portals more powerful

We're happy to announce the rollout of some exciting enhancements to the Portal. We've designed these enhancements to ensure compatibility with new upcoming features that we're working on, which will be available later. The enhancements we're announcing below will be made available by 23-Jan-2023.
 
Bolstered federated login with Apple
Incorporate Apple's top-notch privacy and identity protection mechanisms into your portal and provide a hassle-free experience for your portal users, by allowing them to sign in using their Apple ID. Going forward, you'll be able to configure federated login to authenticate your portal users by using their Apple account.



Revitalized portal pages
We took the opportunity to rework the Signup, Login, and Reset password pages of portals. The redesigned portal pages, with their new colors and better fonts, provide your portal users with an improved and more consistent experience. Although the look and feel of the new UI will be slightly different from the existing one, we have ensured that it doesn't affect any existing portal functionality.

Re-tailored email notifications
  1. We've enhanced the security of the reset password process by introducing one-time passwords for verification. As a result, existing templates for reset password emails will be replaced by a new template, in order to accommodate the new OTP verification.  
    After the rollout of the update, it's advised to check the reset password template at Portal > [Required Portal] > Email Notifications > Reset Password template and make any customizations if necessary. For older versions of Creator, you can check the reset password template at Settings > Customer Portal > Email Notifications > Reset Password template

  2. We've also redesigned the Invitation and Send approval email templates.
    • If you haven't customized them, then they'll be updated with the new templates automatically.
    • If you have customized them, they'll be left untouched. You can then reset the emails to get the new templates.
We're just getting started, and the other features we're working on will be available in the coming months!
