Introducing bulk additions for subforms via lookup and subform permissions for Zoho CRM.

Hello Enterprise Community

We are thrilled to introduce two highly anticipated subform features:

1. Bulk Additions for Subforms via Lookup
2. Enhanced Subform Permissions

Let's explore these exciting updates:

Bulk Additions for Subforms via Lookup

Say goodbye to the tedious task of adding rows one at a time! Our latest update allows you to add multiple entries to a subform all at once through a simple lookup.

How it Works:
- Subforms, which can include multiple rows and columns, now feature a bulk addition option.
- Simply go to the "Add row" dropdown menu and select "Add multiple rows."
- A pop-up window will appear, showing a list of records. Check the boxes for the entries you want to add.
- Click "Add values for selection" to enter or edit values for each column (e.g., quantity) before adding them to the form.

This streamlined process accelerates quote creation and allows sales reps to associate multiple products with each quote efficiently.

Setup:
- Ensure bulk additions are enabled by checking the box in the subform properties page.
- Select the appropriate lookup field and columns for bulk selection.

Enhanced Subform Permissions

Our new subform permissions feature gives administrators the power to manage access to entire subforms, not just individual fields.

What’s New:
- Admins can now enable users to view, create, edit, and delete entire subforms.
- Previously, permissions were limited to individual fields, but now you can modify permissions for the entire subform with ease.

Example Use Case:
- A Sales Associate might have full access to view, add, edit, and delete information in a subform.
- A Compliance Officer, however, might only need to view the subform without editing rights.

Configuration:
- Click on the settings icon at the top of the subform to set permissions for all roles.
- In portals, admins can grant or modify subform permissions for external users like customers, partners, or vendors.

Important Notes:
- Cloning subform rows requires create permission.
- Reordering rows requires edit permission.
- Deleting rows requires both edit and delete permissions.

These updates provide a more intuitive and efficient way to control access and manage data within subforms.

Release Plan:
These features will be available to customers in a few weeks.
