Introducing "Due in Days" in the Criteria for Date and Date-time Fields!

Zoho CRM now lets you set criteria for date and date-time fields based on the specific number of due days.

As you may already know, the criteria for date and date-time fields in Zoho CRM is set by defining the age of the records. For example, "Potentials that were closed in the previous month" or "Tasks due in the next month" . However, you could define the age of the records only in terms of a day, week or month and not in terms of a specific number of days.

Recently, we introduced "Age in Days" to address this particular concern. Now if you wish to look at potentials that were closed in the last 8 days, all you have to do is set the criteria for Potentials as "Closing Date" "Age in Days = 8" . "Age in Days" is however for the days in the past. Now imagine a similar feature for future dates. With the introduction of "Due in Days" , you can now set criteria for date and date time fields based on the exact number of due days. For example, you want to filter out Contacts whose subscription renewal is due in 6 days. You can now do this by creating a custom view in the Contacts module with the criteria as "Subscription Date is Due in 6 days" and you will get all records that meet this criteria.

"Due in Days" is also applicable for criteria set in a workflow rule. The result is hence, dynamic. For example, as a sales manager, you want to be alerted of any update made to potentials closing in the next 15 days from any given point of time. In this case, you can create a workflow rule based on a record action and set the criteria as "Closing Date is Due in 15 Days".

So if a change is made to a potential that is closing in the next 15 days from any given point in time, you will be alerted.

Due in Days has parameters similar to that of Age in Days. You can choose the suitable option and set the criteria.

You can use the Due in Days option for several everyday requirements and instances such as creating custom list view, workflow rule, approval process, mass transfer records, mass mails, creating reports and auto-follow rules.
