Introducing Interactive WhatsApp Templates and Quick Replies in the Bigin iOS App

Hello everyone!

We are happy to introduce interactive WhatsApp templates and Quick replies in Business Messaging in the Bigin iOS app. 
Idea
Scenario:
John Bailey owns a small-scale digital marketing company. He gets an enquiry on chat while he is busy, so he uses the templates and the quick replies option in WhatsApp to reply to the potential customer quickly, without disrupting his current work items. 
  1. Templates and Quick replies can only be created through the web. Users can only preview and send the WhatsApp template messages and quick replies in mobile. Read to know more about creating WhatsApp templates and Quick Replies.
  2. Templates and Quick Replies are available only for the contacts module.
To access templates and quick replies : Open the Bigin app > Home screen > Messages. Open a chat and tap on the More icon and then select between templates and quick replies. 

The WhatsApp template messages features rich media headers text, images, videos, documents supported within the template message making the business conversation more effective. It also supports interactive footers like call to action buttons and instant replies so that the customers can directly take actions like visit the website or enquire about deals directly from the message they receive. 
Markup formatting is also supported in the chat display area, templates, and quick replies.
Notes
Manual formatting is yet to be supported for new messages typed directly in the chat's input field.
Users can send voice messages as replies. They can record and send messages for upto two minutes. They can find this option under the Attachment tab. They can also play these audio messages and other audio/video attachments directly within the conversation page.

The other enhancements supported now in messages are:
  1. Replying to messages - Users can now swipe right or long press a message bubble and select reply to reply to a specific message in a chat. 
  2. Sending long messages as PDF - Users can convert messages that exceed the character limit as PDF and send it to their customers. This will improve the readability of the message. 
  3. Translating messages - Users can translate the messages (if the language is supported by Bigin) by tapping it to translate the message instantly into their primary language. They can tap View Original to switch back to the initial language.
