We are excited to announce a new feature that brings contract authoring and negotiation in your familiar environment — the Microsoft Word Integration.



What This Integration Brings

The Microsoft Word Integration connects Zoho Contracts with the Microsoft Word desktop application, bringing contract authoring and editing into an environment your team already knows. While Zoho Contracts offers a powerful built-in editor with Zoho Writer, there are scenarios where teams, stakeholders, or counterparties prefer to work in Microsoft Word — a tool they are already comfortable and familiar with. This integration lets you author, edit, review, and negotiate contracts directly in the Microsoft Word desktop app while keeping everything connected to your contract records.

How Does It Work?

With the Microsoft Word Integration, you can create contract types from Word documents, author contracts in Word, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and negotiate with your counterparties — all without leaving the tool they are comfortable with.

Here is a quick look at what you can do:
  1. Create contract types by uploading an Microsoft Word document, choosing to either convert it to Zoho Writer format or retain the MS Word format, and edit the underlying templates directly in Microsoft Word.
  2. Author contracts generated from those contract types inside Microsoft Word, preserving full document fidelity.
  3. Import existing Microsoft Word documents as contract drafts, without any rework.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, whose edits come back as tracked redlines you can accept or reject.
  5. Send contracts out for negotiation, so counterparties can review and revise the document in a familiar word processor.
