Is COQL known to have read delays?

Is COQL known to have read delays?

Hello,

I'm experiencing stale data returned by COQL from time to time. Most of the time it returns up-to-date data right after I update a record, but sometimes the change only shows up after several seconds or even minutes.

Neither the COQL documentation nor the community topics I've found suggest any such delay. https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/kaizen-60-get-records-search-records-query-and-bulk-read-apis explicitly lists COQL as having no indexing delay.


Is COQL guaranteed to always return fresh data, i.e., is read-after-write consistency guaranteed? Was there any temporary downtime, replication lag, or something similar that would explain this behavior?

Details:

  • EU data center, REST API v8.
  • My COQL query joins 3 modules, but also reproduced without any joins.
  • I've reproduced it many times in our sandbox, and it has also happened at least once in production.
