- Mandatory read does NOTHING for a manual - it just enables the functionality for articles withint he manual, but has no impact for the readers or the publishing process on its own.
- Articles need to be assigned to the Mandatory read after publishing them.
- Activating mandatory read BEFORE publishing a manual (sharing) or publishing article within it can leave the manual in a stuck mode - the essential orange button with the Mandatory Read statistics on top of the manual (visible for admins at least) will NOT show up. That means there is zero control or audit trail for the mandatory read in such cases.
- The link Report in the statistics overview withing this Mandatory Read button (if it appears at all) does not work but throws an access error.
Currently the Mandatory Read functionionality for manual articles (we use manuals to publish our policies to the employees) is lacking intuitive and transparent usage, unreliable and not fulfilling the requirements of a compliance audit trail.
Which is very disappointing as the module is advertized as to be exactly this.
Also: as an admin I see the Pending Actions symbol as active (red dot) but when I go into the overview there are no entries at all. No matter what filter I use (All).
