Single-select Link fields

It would be good to have the option to make Link fields as single-select, which would then allow them to be used as Kanban columns. 

P.S. Removing an record from a link field is buggy. When you delete the entry, it opens up the related record, and I'm presuming you have to also delete it from there.  But then when I tried to delete it, it says Record is open and I found the only way I could delete an entry, was replacing it with another one.
