OpenAI has deprecated its Assistants API and is moving to the Responses API. If you're using OpenAI Assistants with SalesIQ, you may be wondering if you need to make any changes to your existing setup.
You don't. SalesIQ has already taken care of the change.
What changed?
OpenAI has deprecated the Assistants API and set August 26, 2026, as its shutdown date. The Responses API is now the recommended way to build integrations with OpenAI.
What has SalesIQ done?
SalesIQ has updated its OpenAI integration to work with the Responses API while keeping your existing setup intact. This means you can continue using your existing OpenAI Assistants in SalesIQ without rebuilding or reconnecting them.
What does this mean for you?
If you're using OpenAI with SalesIQ:
- You can continue using your existing OpenAI setup in SalesIQ without making any changes.
- Your Assistants, conversations, and files will remain available, and you can continue using your existing Assistants and conversation IDs.
- Your existing ChatGPT-powered features in SalesIQ will also continue to work as before.
So, while OpenAI has changed the API used behind the scenes, there's nothing you need to change in your SalesIQ setup. You don't need to create a new Assistant, rebuild your integration, or make any changes to your existing setup. You can continue using your existing OpenAI integration as is, as usual.
