Tracking work hours across tasks, issues, and team members has always required jumping between views and piecing together context. The updated Time Log Grid View avoids that. It records your team's logged hours against tasks and issues in a unified, interactive grid, making patterns visible and time entry quicker.
With a Left & Right sectioned split view and customizable Summary Data Label, the grid view is elaborate and contextual giving teams a clear picture of logged hours across projects, users, and modules in one place.
Left side — log management
- The left section is a user's control center for time entries.
- View the list of tasks, issues, and general logs for a project.
- Add time logs to any task, issue, or general log directly from this panel.
- Expand any item to view all individual log entries within it.
- Edit start and end times inline.
- Scroll left to view time log detail columns.
- Click to view task or issue details page.
Right panel — the date grid
- The right section presents a calendar-aligned grid of hours; one column per day, one row per task or issue.
- Enter time directly into the grid cell.
- Summary row at the top shows total hours logged per day at a glance.
- Switch how summary data is displayed using the Summary Data Label control on the right strip.
Summary Data Label
The top summary row in the grid can be configured to show totals of the work hours in the format that makes most sense for your team: Hours, Days, or Percentage. Choose from three display modes using the Summary Data Label option on the right side of the grid view page.
For instance: In a software project, a developer adds a time log and selects the issue in the project on the left list. Then adds the work hours on the right for the selected date grid. The summary label on top sums up all the work hours per day. The team lead sees exactly how much time was invested per issue. This helps the lead estimate future timelines more precisely.
Available in both the global Time Log module and within individual project time log tabs,
Time Log grid view enables better planning and resource management based on analysis of time consumed per task or issue. Navigate to the Time Log module or your project's Time Log tab to get started.
