Let us start with a small scenario: the Zylker legal team has a shared inbox for
legal@zylker.com. All the company queries and requests are sent to this address. Now the Zylker legal team wants to reply to these requests based on regions from their region-specific addresses like
legal-us@zylker.com, legal-eu@zylker, etc. This is exactly possible with Zoho TeamInbox as you can send out replies using multiple sender addresses from a single inbox. Zylker's legal team can also create shared inboxes for their region-specific addresses to manage them separately.
Configure sender addresses, associate them with your inboxes and choose the most suitable while composing a reply. You can associate any number of sender addresses with your inbox, including the source address (the address for which you've created the shared inbox).
While configuring sender address, we recommend that you use custom SMTP, if not, configure DKIM for you domain. This will ensure your email deliverability. Also, if you're not using the source address as a sender address, we suggest that you CC the source address. This way, the replies made will be received in this inbox, provided the recipient hits reply-all.
You can find all your sender addresses under your organization settings. You can choose to disable them any time.
If you have a similar scenario try using multiple sender addresses and tell us how they worked out for you. We'd love to hear what other topics you want us to discuss on. Let us know in the comments below.
