[This announcement is for Zoho CRM users that rely on Microsoft's password-based Basic Authentication method for their active MS Outlook and/or Office 365 email integrations. If you use a different email provider or have already switched to OAuth-based authentication, you can disregard this announcement.]
Last modified on July 11, 2023: This feature is now available for all DCs.
Dear All,
We are writing to inform you that your current email sync configuration may be interrupted if you do not update your MS Outlook and Office 365 email integrations with the latest OAuth-based "Modern Authentication" method.
Please note that this request applies only to existing users who still use the old email configuration with the Basic Authentication method. If you are setting up new configurations, this request does not apply to you.
We kindly request that all Microsoft users who have configured their email integrations using the Basic Authentication method perform this one-time action. By switching to the OAuth-based Modern Authentication method, you will continue to experience seamless email integration and avoid any potential disruptions.
To switch to OAuth:
- Go to the Email Configuration tab (Setup > Channels > Emails).
- Click on the dropdown, select Switch to OAuth.
- Select Outlook or Office 365.
- Provide your credentials.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, this update is crucial to ensure the security and functionality of your email integration.
Please let us know if you have questions or concerns in the comments below.
Thanks!
Sohel | CRM User Ed
P.S. The option to switch to OAuth is rolled out for all DCs in a phased manner and is currently available for the AU DC.
