I really want to like the Zoho suite, but it is so piecemeal, clunky, unintuitive, illogical in places and so trying to be all-things-to-all-people it cant get the basics right. Honestly, its a mess. Our organization uses Zoho One and I cant tell you how frustrating it is to get even simple things to work in an efficient manner.
Case in point - why o why o why are there separate calendars for Mail (Zoho Calendars), CRM, Bookings and Meetings? There is only one of me and everything should be shown in one view. All sync activity seems to be driven towards the CRM as the hub, and all the other apps spoke out from there, but even that doesnt work properly.
I'm sure there is a reason why there isnt a unified calendar that all apps talk to. It cant be hard to do and I cannot for the life of me think why it isnt set up this way. I get that some people may want to subscribe just to individual apps and thats ok, but if you're going to pitch Zoho One as the complete system, I have a calendar view (say Zoho Calendar) which I can access from Mail, so i can plan my day, meetings etc, except I cant because Meetings and Bookings dont sync with it. I have to look in 3 different places and work out when i'm free and when I'm booked. Wtf?
Am i missing something somewhere or loosing the plot? I sincerely hope so because i'm about to jack this all in and use something else entirely, even if it means Zoom + Calendly + external email. At least those can all be set up to talk to each other..
