Zoho CRM Canvas - Subforms

Hi & happy new year!

I'm building a new Canvas view and as part of the layout I am using it has a subform.

I can insert the subform into the canvas but when in the canvas view I am unable to add content to subform?

Are the subform view only on a canvas layout?
