Credit note for excess payment
Unless refunded, an excess payment would be a considered a "credit" for the customer. It's even listed under unused credits in the contacts. However, there appears to be no way to send the customer proof of credit (a credit note) for the specific excess payment, and my customer wanted to be sent one. The only way (that I can see) that Books gives customers an indication that they may have credit for an excess payment is to send a copy of the receipt (proof of payment) with tiny text on the bottom

Please could it be made possible to view reports so that categories are listed under their parent categories - like they do in the profit and loss report? When you enter a vendor's credit note the item account will be "Cost of Goods Sold" by default, as this is inventory item then it should credit "inventory asset" account. I understand the pay sales tax function but it eats up a lot of time unnecessarily. The Sales Tax Liability report could be useful but requires deep drill downs to get to the actual sales for reviewing. We have to mark invoices as "Sent" to reduce our stock levels. This leaves us with the dilemma of not knowing which invoices have not actually been sent.
