Add items from views to another form
I've created an example app to show my question: you can find it here I have two form: 1. Inventory : where are stored all items 2. Supply Ordered : where are stored all orders made for new supply What I'm trying to obtain is simple: once a supply which is in the Supply Ordered form is delivered I wish to add its quantity directly into the Invetory without the need to delete it from Supply Ordered View and then insert manually into the Supply Ordered View. Bug: scroll arrow has disappeared in Free-Flow Field Actions box in one Form
While working on the script for one of my forms, the scroll arrow in the Field Actions box in the Free Flow editor has ceased to appear, though it does appear alright in other forms. I've restarted browsers (tried 3 different browsers, too) -- all the same result -- no scroll arrow anymore in this particular form. See screen grab here: The form is named "Contacts". Please explain why saving ZC scripts take so long
No doubt every Zoho Creator developer has wondered why it takes so long for a seemingly small script to be saved/updated from the editor view. Zoho Calendar and ICAL feed
I have a ZOHO app with the following items. Single Line Called TITLE, a multiLine called DETAILS, a Drop Down called ALLDAY and 2 date-times called STARTS and ENDS. I want to change it over to an ical and import it into ZOHO calendar. For some reason when I go to my calendar and click subscribe to and enter a url UNDEFINED pops up in the corner and nothing loads. Any ideas why this would happen. Another Free Flow editor BUG: Firefox suddenly displaying ghost text in Free Flow editor

Browser Detection
I know that ZOHO Creator supports the Firefox browser. Indeed I have never had any issues using FF with ZC and it's what I use all the time. I have also seen that Internet Explorer 8 does not have any (to my knowledge) issues with ZC. Now on to my issue: Many of my users in education, and therefor typically use Apple computers. Create a new Creator application from a Zoho Sheet
Is it possible to create a new Creator application from a Zoho Sheet - without downloading the sheet and then uploading it again? It seems odd that I can create a new application from an Excel workbook on my local PC but can't find a way to do the same thing from a Zoho Sheet that is already on the Zoho server. The record ID as a view criteria returns the error "We are unable to fetch this data, sorry!"
I send the ID of a record to an html view (recID). In this html view I have an embedded list view (div embedding) that uses the passed parameter as a criteria (...=false&zc_RecSelect=true&ID=input.recID). This embedded list view returns the error message: We are unable to fetch this data, sorry! Is there any way to center the data in each column of a view? It's hard to read when some of it is left-justified, and some of it is right-justified. Thanks.
Trouble importing spreadsheet
I'm trying to add a new form to an existing app using the import XLS button. I copy the information from the spreadsheet and paste it in the box (17 columns by 33 rows). When I click Done I get a Please Wait and the lower portion of the screen goes blank but no form is created. I tried this on two different computers. Both are using Firefox 3.5. Parameters for HTML Views
I'd like to propose the ability to also add integer parameters to an html view. In attempting to pass ID number, I'm forced to convert it to a string, pass that string via url to the view, and then convert the string back into a number. I see no technical issues passing numbers via url strings, do you? Seems like a real runaround. When adding parameters, one expects some options to specif what variable type it is. John M. Whitney

I have data that is start date specific for several types of products. For instance, I have a customer that will begin buying chairs in Dec. another buying chairs starting in January but also buying desks starting in November. Hello, I need help. I have a form X with fields OPIDX and Name. In another form Y, I want the user to input a value (OPIDY) which will seek to form X in a field / column specific (OPID given by the value provided by the user in the form Y), to then mount a dropdown. Embedded form does not load
I have embedded a form in an html view with a <div> tag like this: <div elName='zc-component' formLinkName='myForm' params='zc_Header=false&recID=473791000001064107'>Loading Form...</div>But only the text "Loading Form..." appears. Otherwise nothing happens. The recID was a entered by script before. I hardcoded it to make sure that was not the problem. I tried it with different form. Same there. The html view in which the form is embedded is opened within a Zoho dialog (href with zc_LoadIn=dialog).

Use a String-list rather than multiple "OR" statements
The question I have is if I can make an arbitrary string list: ZOO={"cat", "dog", "bird"} And reference that against a database: For each row in DATABASE [ZOO.contains(animal)] { //some code } ...would return true if the animal column is cat, dog or bird. I cannot figure out how to do this, or if it's even possible. The only way I know how to do this is using lots of OR's, and it looks inefficient: for each r in DATABASE [((animal == "cat" || animal == "dog") || animal == "bird")] {
Empty second column displayed in form
I have a form in my application ('PlayerEntity') in which I moved all the fields from the right side/column to the left side of the form. When I edit a record the second column still displays. Criteria-based URL Redirection On-Load Briefly Shows Form

User access to html view popups?
My app offers user to view records in a nicer way (custom html views) than the regular Creator table by providing links such as follows: https://creator.zoho.com/filip.aulin/myApp/#View:myHtmlView?zc_LoadIn=dialog&recID=1234 When I am logged in as an admin it works fine. When logged in as a user the popup seems to get redirected and shows the 'Home' screen. Is there a permission setting I missed? Thanks, Filip
Bug: Function is not being recognized in HTML view script save, though it is a valid working function
I've actually seen this same problem in different contexts a few times in recent days, and it's back now, so I'm reporting it. PDF and PRINT buttons in HTML Views fail with bad URL
Definite Bug: Selecting Print and/or PDF options in Header Options of HTML View... ...makes the PDF and PRINT buttons appear in the live view of the HTML View... ...but, when clicked, both buttons send you to a malformed URL, thus no pdf or printing functionality. Unable to access form for editing
There are only 2 forms in my app. I performed minor editing on one of them but cannot access it again for additional editing. The fields in the form shd appear in the right-hand side of the screen but instead it is BLANK. The left-hand side appears normal. However the 2 associated views appear normal and contain the chgs i made previously. Apparently the URL contains a digital code to determine which form or view is to be accessed. In my case the digits '15' cause the condition described above. However
Viewing records: Can I replace the standard table with an html view somehow?
Especially for views with many fields and/or fields with text in them, the standard table that pops up when viewing a record is not very readable. I would like the 'View' link (to the left of each record in a view) to open up an html view (which I designed) containing that records information. In order not to confuse my users, I do not want to include a custom action which will be triggered by a button to the right of each record. Regards, Filip.

Bug: View is displaying duplicate columns that don't belong there
I have a new view that is displaying duplicate columns. This view was a duplicate itself of another form. The original form is called Message Board, and the duplicate form is called Feedback. It is the Feedback view that has the problem. User security / permissions
Hi, I'm sure this is straightforward, but I'm afraid I'm stumped on this one! I'm building an app that would have one or two "admin" users. These users would be responsible for adding / deleting / editing records in the database. They would have special screens that only they should see, for making changes to the data.
