Specify username while registration
Hello recently when i add new user into ZOHO service it seems not have to specify username anymore the system create a username automatically (eg: zoho_userddd) it this the new registration rule? please advise, thanks Regards, Matthew
How do I fill a field's value based on the value of another field?
When I am in the Cases (or other modules) of CRM and Choose an existing Contact (lookup), the associated account is automatically filled in for the Case. I would like to do the same thing on Creator form's I have created. The first thing I would like is exactly what I described for CRM Cases. Script to generate a new form
Hi All, Is it possible to generate a new form and view by scripting? I have an application where the user will enter a name for the new form and somehow I'd like this to be created On Success. Alternatively, I could have a template form and somehow script that it should be copied and renamed to the name the user entered. I'm stuck :) Any help, hugely appreciated!!

In Reports, I can set lookup fields to display with a link which displays the linked form's values. Is there any way to achieve the same thing but with the form in edit mode?
filling a URL Field with a null address
Hi All I am a newbie both to databases and this particular method of creating them. I have made a form with the main primary field being the identifying name of an item. What I would like is that the name is clickable to an associated URL path, if there is no link I would still like to see the identifying name. I have used the URL field but it doesn't like a blank URL field and if I use just http:// it brings up a blank page (not very elegant). The important part of the URL field for me is the link

Inserting bidirectional subform without display type
I'm trying to create an app with a bidirectional subform that doesn't display the linked field below the subform. I have two forms. Main form is "Clients" and subform is "Appointments". I want to be able to enter appointments in on the clients form and have it be a bidirectional link, but when I do it adds another dropdown field below the Appointments subform. There is an Application called Employee Management that I'm trying to mimic, but I don't know how to accomplish it.
Strange repeated and displaced sections of screen
Sometimes I get displaced sections of reports. I am using Google Chrome running on Windows 8 and a very fast Internet connection. I have seen it many times on my new and old PC. Any ideas?
unable to edit any application settigs
I am unable to edit any of the general settings for my creator applications, The error message tells me to contact support. Well, support has been completely unresponsive. This has been going on for about 1 week. Access to my Creator account has been enabled for several days now and that is making me uncomfortable as well. I simply cannot move forward at this point. Please advise.
Filters not working
I sent a support ticket but no one answers so I was hoping someone could help me. My views keep losing the data and I have to delete the filters and create a new view every time to get the data to show. Any suggestions on what I can do to stop this. It seems there is a problem with the filters.
Formula field looking up Child of input

Seems like I saw something on zoho about email quotas per user per day but now I am about to sign up for a paid version and there is not description of email quotas on the paid signup page except for add-ons (emails $20/ 500 / month). filter a lookup, based on another lookup
I have a small database holding info on the following candidates employers vacancies referrals Vacancies are added with a lookup to the employers now in the referrals table I want to pick a candidate, then pick an employer and have another drop down listing the vacancies for that employer instead of all vacancies. can anyone point me in the right direction ? cheers Mitch

Im just working it out little by little by Im trying to figure out if you can use it to calculate prices for the different types of riders that we get and if they hire equipment using checkboxes. Hi Zoho Support, What is ETA for defect fix or help? I have been trying since 24 hours to contact Zoho Support, as well as sent mail with my requirements. I am not able to reach through Phone and nobody is there who can respond mail promptly. We are paid customer and one issue/query holds entire application development process. At least, give call back if you are not able to answer when we call.
Enterprise subscription question
Quick question, just updated subscription from pro to enterprise due to additional users. What is the Manage Contacts section in Account Setup for? Unlike Manage Users and Manage Groups their doesn't seem to be any way to add data to it.

Hi all Newbie to zoho creator, not to databases. have created a database for personal use. i use the view in order to query the data and it works fine. i want to prevent myself from accidentally editing the data as it will never change. can i make the database read only or inhibit add up delete on the view? In Marketplace, if you Publish an app to a client with data and source code, can they then create a copy that will "live" on independently of the original app. Will the copy have full editing privileges as if it were created by the client? Will the copy lose any functionality if the developer closes their Zoho account? How to reference subform data (pre-fill from existing data)
This sounds like it should be fairly straightforward - I have a form that has a subform which is filled out. A second form pre-fills in data from the information submitted. I can't use this older information to fill in the subform in the new form. (other fields work perfectly fine) I've tried: z2=FormName [ID = IDofOld].SubformName; And this returns the IDs of the subform. If I just set the subform in the current form equal to the z2, I get an error when running the application saying: Error Executing
ds file import problem
I can't get a ds file to import. The ds file has many lines...could there be a limit? I get this error: There was a problem importing application null. The ds file was created as a back-up of an application in an account that I own, but that is different from the account I want to import it into. Is it possible for Zoho reps to make this move for me? Would it be worth a try to put the app on marketplace temporarily just to get it moved over to the other account?

How to get singles purchases from a list of tickets.
Hi.......struggling this afternoon. I have a list for 24500 tickets sales. Each sale has a customer number which relates to the customer who bought it. A customer may have bought more than one ticket and there will be a record for each ticket sale. More Details button not displaying in the view?
In the help documentation or on these forums, someone showed me how to create a "More Details" button with the class "zc-formbutton" that displays in a view. Merge data into Word or PDF
What are the methods available to merge data from one or more tables into a form template that results in a Word or PDF document that can be saved and/or printed? It appears that the only way is to create an HTML template to do this. But how do I get from the resulting view to at least a PDF document?

Command to Hide/Show (ALL Fields on Form)
Hi, I've noticed it gets extremely cumbersome to hide or show fields in forms which have 30 fields or more. Could we have 4 commands, Hide(all) Show(all) Enable(all) Disable(all), much like Deselect.all for checkboxes. This makes coding much neater and simpler. Instead of hiding 25 fields, we'd rather hide all then show the 5 we need. Anyone else need this? I hope you can come up with a solution please. Thanks in advance.
Conversion from Personal to Domain Account?
This is probably just a simply oversight on my part but I'll post it anyway. I have a Google Apps integrated Zoho Creator account and I'm trying to convert it from a Personal Account to a Domain Account. I'm using the instructions provided here http://www.zoho.com/creator/help/general/zoho-creator-for-your-domain.html#Account_Types, however when I click on Settings|My Account I don't see the page reflected in the documentation for verifying domain ownership. reporting on values calculated using formulas
I have a form that includes two user-entered number fields, RSVPs and Attendees. I also have a formula-based field that calculates No Shows as (RSVPs - Attendees). The problem is that I want to create a report that shows, for each site, the total number of RSVPs, Attendees, and No Shows, but Zoho is treating the No Shows field as a text field and thus will not allow me to sum the values. Creator AutoNumber Edit
I need my records to be auto numbered sequentially. However, my staff deleted some records so now the ID number reads 117, 119, 123, 125 instead of following continuously. Is there any way that I can edit the auto number to include the number that were deleted. Every time a new number is created it starts from the last generated auto number. Any assistance?
