Bulk add users
Am I missing something or do I really have to add users one by one? This would seem such a simple and obvious feature. Adding users at the beginning of a project is going to be annoyingly time consuming if I have to do it one by one. Is there a way to import users, or add multiple users?
Data loss after migration to new version
Dear Zoho Projects Team, We were using your new version of Projects (preprojects.zoho.com) when you suddenly moved new version to the base url (projects.zoho.com) and vice-versa. We understand it was a migration process, but we LOST our last hours changes, dates and so on. It is possible to return them or at least compare to the current version so we would make them again. [Projects 2.0] :Less Branding on paid version
I completely understand branding for free version! But in paid version email notification should be custom company branded. If a client use Zoho Sheet or Writer it should be branded, especially Zoho Viewer! In Zoho Viewer their a Zoho Home Page link. This can be confusing to clients! I've clients ask me do we offer these services! I believed this platform intended use is to increase workflow and cash flow for my company. It should not be link to sell you services in a paid version of your product
Project Reminders via E-mail and/or Text
Hello, Is it possible to set a text message reminder for tasks due in Project? I know it is possible to send the notification via e-mail but is it possible to specify the time the notification is sent? Thanks!
Newbie: Two Quick Questions on deciding to use Zoho
I am a newbie and have two quick questions. The team is evaluating Zoho for an upcoming project and I just uploaded my MS Project information. I had one initial assignment: to see if the file uploaded (it did), that the tool was user friendly (it appears that it is), has some pragmatic collaboration features (the wiki, chat and forum are nice) and that I could produce a hard as well as soft report for supervisors (here is where I am having difficulty). I could not find, or have questions about 2.
Is the tab "All Users" only available for Admins?
WIth the "Admin" user, I can access to the tab called "All Users" and then see all the users in the company with their basic information (which is quite useful) and send messages to any of them. I supposed that feature would be also available for "employee" users, but I realized today with the account of one of my coworkers that they cannot see other users neither send messages to them, unless they arte working on the same project. Is that because of the new interface of Zoho Projects? Thank you
Changing the "start" and "due" date of tasks should be easier
During the development of any project, it is quite common that some of the start and due dates of some tasks are changed for different reasons. On the current "Tasks" tab, it is possible to change the "owner", "priority" and "status" on the task. But If I want to change the dates, I should go to "Edit task" displayed on the left side button. It takes innecesary lose of time and it is not handy at all. I would suggest the Zoho Team to add that feature to make those changes easier and more logical.
Sending notification to multiple users
Hello, I've been using Zoho projects for few days and I'm wondering if it is possible to send a mail notification (a new task assigned to an employee) to several users (admins, managers, portal owner...). Right now, I think that notification is only sent to : - the task owner - the user woh assign the task Did I miss any configuration that allows multiple notifications ?
"View All Users" is only available for Admins?
As I see on the chart posted in http://www.zoho.com/projects/project-access-privileges.html, users categorized as "employees" could View Users. As "Admin", I have a tab called "All Users", which is quite useful to get quick information about the users of the company and I suposed everybody (except client users) could access to that tab, to comunicate with other users easily. Bug Tracking Email Interaction
I'd like for my users to not only create bugs/issues/tickets, but I'd like for them to be able to respond to the notifications and have those responses appended to the bug as a comment. Much the same way that notes are appended to in tasks. I don't want to lose track of any information that the clients provide. Currently, their responses only go directly to the project manager, and are not automatically made a part of the issue.
Server response is not very good.
I'm working at Japan. I don't think it's good respons status at least in my location. Each action we have to wait 10-20 seconds. please, please fix it.

Woah guys, I suggest a real testing environment before you publish such changes, we are working with a client on a project and I have to stop because our project management tool just went AWOL: all pages give a 404 error. Please advise as soon as possible, this is looking bad AND making us look bad. Regards.
How to best communicate between Users and Client Users?
From what i have seen, it seems posts by users like status updates and announcements don't show up to Client Users? is there a way to make this happen, a setting to change maybe? What have others found is the best way to communicate (with back and forth) inside the projects program between users and client users?
Task deletion and lost timesheet hours
We have deleted a task since it is no longer applicable during the middle of a month. After deletion, we found out that all time booked against that task is wiped out of team members' timesheets. Is it possible to "undelete" this task or some how re-access the lost hours?

Hello, The product looks good! But I can't seem to figure out how to have all my open tasks show in the Gantt report. I have the start and end dates specified for all milestones and tasks but the report only shows selected tasks... Please advise. Thank you!
What is the way to have MANAGER only allowed to delete or mark a task as completed for closure?
I just discovered that any EMPLOYEE level user can do the following: 1. Close a task assigned 2. Delete a task assigned This has serious implications on usability and security, as one task may be assigned to multiple users. If any EMPLOYEE can delete a task, all the related time sheet entries of all others assigned to the task also get deleted. Dependency types
We are starting to use Zoho projects and we are playing with dependencies. It looks like the only type of dependency that exists in the system is "Finish to Start". However, we very much need "Start to Start" and "Finish to Finish". Can you please let us know if indeed the only dependency type available today is finish to start? Ability to tag users by Skill Set, Location, Level within the organisation
Within Zoho projects, is there a clever method to tag users based on parameters like: - Skill set - Seniority - Geographic location - Department etc. This will be very useful to assign tasks based on skills availability and location-wise resource availability. Also this will be useful to generate reports based on the parameters.
FTP for projects
Hi I use Zoho projects and upload a lot of files. My files are growing and soon I will buy more space on Zoho projects. I would appreciate if I got a FTP connection. So that I can upload mass # of files and also I can download files easily. If not FTP an online utility that allows batch downloads / uploads would be very much helpful.. fmirza
roles
Currently a role is bound to the entire portal (all projects within it). It would be more useful to have the role bound to the project instead. Manager is a powerful role and generally we would want those permissions to be related to the project they manage instead of all of the company's projects. The admin would assign the roles for each project they are assigned to. lhsilva
Delete Portal Owner
There are four portal owners in my project. I would like to delete another portal owner but there doesnt seem to be an obvious way to do this. I need to at least deactivate the account or deny access for this user. How can I achieve this ?
Calendar iPhone problem
Ive attempted to sync my zoho projects calendar with my iphone calendar using the instructions here http://blogs.zoho.com/general/subscribing-to-zoho-projects-calendar-on-your-iphone . Hello, I'm trying to get the photo url for a specific user using this api method: http://projects.zoho.com/portal/{PortalName}/api/private/xml/user/getphotourl?apikey=[ApiKey]&ticket=[ticket] But I'm getting a "General Error", I'm passing the parameter userId, I have tried passing the values p_id and login_name returned by the method for getting all users from a project. How do I move a task from one task list to another?
According to the documentation, there should be a "Move Task link" but I see no such link. I have seen other posts indicating that only administrators or task assignees can move tasks. In this case I am both the administrator and the task owner. The only links that I have are: Add Task Copy Task Reorder Make a Task Template

Reserved characters in notification emails
When I create a forum post in a zoho project and have notification emails sent to project users, things like server addresses and directory paths look fine in the forum post but are problematic in the notification email if reserved characters such as backslashes are removed. For example \\myserver\mydirectory is displayed correctly in the post but ends up as \myservermydirectory in the email. I'm sure there is a simple workaround for this and would love to hear it. My project users are not all savvy

However, I do not see a report that allows me to see the status of all projects at one time. Ideally it would be like the Open Milestones report but with the milestones for two or more projects.
