How robust is the security model?
Everybody duck - newbie on board. I have a question about security and segregation. I manage multiple accounts, with multiple projects, and with multiple employees/subscontractors. I'd like to be able to use a project management solution that allows me as the admin to track and see everything. But I also need to be able to completely segregate everything for everybody else. Account A cannot see anything about account B, people working on project A can see nothing about project B. Can the security

First off, I think Zoho Projects is GREAT! Here are a few things I would love to see added: Chat with the others currently online. Get comments emailed to the owner and/or anyone else within a forum, task, etc. The ability for admins and managers to edit user's information. Reset someone's account (resend email with password). Delete a forum topic. Close a forum topic. Put an expiration date on a forum topic. Add comments to uploaded files and documents. When uploading a document, check other document
My Home
From the my home view I can see all tasks across projects for myself. As administrator or project manager I would like to be able to see the same view for an employee so that I can manage their tasks and time across projects. gregoryf

I am the Traffic Manager for a large marketing agency and like the features of your product. However, I am concerned that the look and the fel of the interface is a little dry and sterile. We are currently using MS Project and Basecamp as internal project tools and I feel that both of these programs have a more appealing and user friendly interface. Hey everyone, First I must say, that I am extremely impressed with Zoho! I had a quick question... I've added some tasks and task lists and such to my project and when I'm in the "Tasks and Milestones" list there's a small calendar on the right hand side. Shouldn't that list my tasks? Right now, all it has listed is a milestone I've created. And on top of that, I notice a legend above the calendar that has the priorities color coded... except the only think thats colored on my calendar is my milestone
ZOHO Projects - copying tasks
Hi - I'm trying to use ZOHO projects as a means of helping me to organize the many things that I'm doing. One is to catch up on my orders, and that is a daily task of shipping 4 orders per day over the next 60 days. I want to be able to mark each day complete, so is there a way to copy a task? lenfante

Offline File Storage / NON-Hosted Version
Hi! I don't know what other users are thinking about, but if we store all our project data on zohoproject we do definitly need more space available. As we deal with digital images we come very fast near the 1GB per project ... Is it thought now or in near future to develop a version of Zoho project which can run on our local servers - or will be the hosted form the only available option nearby ? Hi! First let me thank you for your effort on Zoho projects - it's totally fine work! Possibly you can implement a feature, where it is possible to send an eMail to a @zohoprojects.com email address specific to a project. An add the content of this email or the forum entry (anser), document, task entries directly into this project. This would be very fine ... Possibly also status changes via eMail would be possible. Scheduling functions and user/client contact input
I'm liking ZPMS and will probably discover how best to do this after I've used Zoho projects for awhile, but none the less, I was hoping for a simple way to view the "schedule" of any day by clicking on a particular day in the calendar view, automatically it would then show that day broken down into x (1-24) hours- x(5-10-15) minute increments. Editing an uploaded file with zoho.
In Zoho Projects I have several files uploaded under Documents tag. It would be nice if these documents could be edited using the proper zoho application. Instead, I have to download the file and edit it in my pc. Surely you can solve it quickly! Hugo Nicaragua dagconsultores

Time/Date/Week Format
Hi, while I'm still evaluating Projects, I think there's no way to change the formats for time (I need 24-hour-format), date (I need day.month.year) and week (I need "week starts on monday"). You probably guessed it, I'm outside the US, and those are (kind of) international standards. I have some other requests as well, but will break them into separate posts. moving, merging, linking
i think this would be key to be able to move, roll into, transfer a project or a portion of a project to another or new one. also be able to link projects to that if you had 3 mini projects as part of one larger initiative. that way you could limits ones access to only thier part of the overal project. john
email notifications
Is there a way to configure the invites to send/not send email reminds on meetings? I find that i might update some meetings, and it blasts out reminders and update notices without my approval jack.virdee
"Latest Project Activity"
It would be nice if the items listed in the "Latest Project Activity" area of the Dashboard were live links so if we see something interesting in that list I can just click on it and go there instead of having to look thru task lists, etc for the specific item.

I love Zoho! You guys have done an amazing job at putting what were typically cumbersome and disjointed work utilities into a single and very user-friendly package! I do have one recommendation: make it possible to put due date and assignments to task lists as well. In some projects you might not have enough detail to create multiple tasks under a specific milestone. jack.virdee

In our projects, many milestones depend upon achievement of previous milestones. In addition, many tasks cannot start until a previous task has been completed. In ZOHO Projects, there is no way to "link" a task so that it depends upon completion of another task. All tasks have to be scheduled independently. Creating a "dependency" feature would be useful. brockrwood

This has good potential but the system has faults I have tried to upgrade but the site fails also the site seems to not respond at times and needs the cache from the browser cleared to fire up again I need a system that will always be there when a project is running. Regards Adam adam

TEAMWORK
Why can't multiple project members be assigned to a task? Does everything have to be done in isolation? I ran into this problem when I tried to record time for a task, but realized that only the person it is assigned to can get the credit, which doesn't lend itself to very much collaboration. I can understand having one person in charge of a task, but please allow multiple people to record work done on it. Task Notes appearing in no particular order
Hi, I am finding that sometimes new notes added to a task are added at the top of the list of notes for that task and other times, a new note is added to the bottom of the list of notes for that task. How SHOULD it be working? New notes at top or new notes at bottom? Anyone else reporting this problem? Versioning of the files
There should be a way to know on which day the files have been uploaded and a way to version them automatically. If there is need to go back to older version, we should be able to do it. abacus
timezone error in Project
I changed the timezone to Atlantic Time (Canada) and it is showing on the company time zone as America Montreal. Montreal is actually in Eastern Time zone with Toronto, Boston and New York. If you need a city for Atlantic time (Canada) I would suggest Canada/Halifax as a marker. ken.insideout
Meeting Reminders and time change
Can you please add a check box to send out a reminder for a meeting? I forgot to add myself to a meeting attendee list. I added myself to the list and then it emailed everybody in my team that there was a change to the meeting. I want to be able to control if an email is generated when I make a small change to any part of a project that sends out an email.
