Uploading documents: PREVENT users from getting emails
I am using Zoho Projects and among the team members, we upload quite a lot of documents on a weekly basis. For each documents we upload, all the team members will receive an email. I DO NOT WANT each member to receive an email when I upload a document. I can see the list of each member in the "Document Upload" page, but it seems there is no way to disable that. How do I do this?
availability of notes for completed tasks
I am trying to view notes related to completed tasks. Even though the tasks are complete there are still relevant notes attached to each task that will need to be reviewed at the completion of the milestone. Even if I attach all of my notes to one task and close it last to keep notes available longer, I still need to close it to complete the milestone. Having notes accessible after the task is complete solves these issues. I thought this was addressed quite some time ago and actually remedied. Now
Time bug?
1st meeting I scheduled is over before it happened... My internal computer time is correct, but the program thinks it is at least 5 hours later than it is... Any ideas? Lisa

iCal Sync with Zoho Timezone Difference
Hi, My iCal is currently synced with Zoho. Everything is working fine except that I am unable to see the calendar in Zoho (in Singapore time) as my local time here in Belgium. An event in Singapore at 2pm should be reflected as 8am here in Belgium, but it is also reflected as 2pm here in Belgium in my iCal. I have already set my iCal as Belgium time... so I think settings here on my machine are fine. Please advise, thanks! keith.ng
Emails to project members
How do we manage emails sent out to members. It seems like every item we add or change gets notified out. Is there an option to suppress this? mayu.be
SMS Notification?
The existing email notification is fine, except if you don't happen to be near your computer. SMS is the way to go for many mobile users -- please consider it. This would be particularly good for task reminders. Thanks! michaelcharvet
Opening Documents in Zoho Writer
Being able to open up documents in Zoho writer is one of the best features of your Zoho project suite. I recently signed my team up for using the suite because of it. However, when clicking on a document, the default method is to download it. I am having to explain to my whole team how to open the document in writer - this is a pain - it is not as intuitive as one would think. There should be a way to change the default method. blakestack

Adding Project Members Without Email?
I would like to specify people or contractor companies without setting them up with email addresses because: . I don't want them seeing our database (one of us manages the contractor) . The specific contractor has not been selected yet As far as I can tell, I am required to enter a valid email address so the "team member" can manage an account. I thought of putting in a garbage email address but I can't even give that "team member" a name. I would have thought this was a common need. Is there a solution
chat in projects
I have seen from forum posts that there is no chat function within projects. This function makes the experience significantly better and is essential to communicate with a group about changes without sending emails. It is much easier. I hope that this feature roll-out is sooner rather than later. Do you have an estimate of when this feature might be available? Jon jonathanlev
Where's the Jott integration?
One of key reasons I stay with Google Calendar is that a Jott link is provided. I simply call Jott, leave a quick message, and it appears in Gcal a few minutes. Perhaps I have missed it, but Zoho Projects really needs an ICAL feed. Many of the people I report to are not on Zoho, but do use Gcal or some other online calendar to watch things. michaelcharvet

Hi, to minimize the use of the mouse is one element of working efficient with Computers. I would be very pleased, if there was a possibility, to enter Dates not only per Pop-Up-Calendar but also by typing the date via Keyboard. Any chance to see that in a futur release? Kind regards Hannes janco_at

It would be very helpfull if there would be a notepad in ZOHO Project, so you can put Notes together. You could manage it with Documents but in my opinion this would be different. Thanks, Thomas

Certainly, users can add Notes, associate Forum posts and Documents to any task, which will be a boosted advantage for users to know more about the task from a central place instead of moving back & forth from documents/ forum section to tasks & milestones. Managing Projects community expectations
As a Projects paying customer, I am very attentive to developments. I am aware that the Projects team have to juggle numerous -- and what appears to be conflicting -- demands from numerous segments of the community. Some members seem to be less patient with the development process than others. What I would suggest is a statement eg. a bulletin that is released on a monthly or quarterly basis, which indicates the areas or components being worked on & due for release. If I have a milestone like this "Student Org Fundraiser" and one of my clients is "Student Org A" and hte other is "Student Org B" How can I make it so that Student Org A logs in and sees their task list (which is a task list under "Student Org Fundraiser") but not the other orgs task list? Also, if I have a "Non Student Org Fundraisier" and I make both of those milestones external, can I make it so that they are only external

Is there a way to export projects instead of task? If so can you export all your projects into a csv or a excel format?
Calendar/repetitive clicking for many months in advance
Most of my scheduling is for 1 or 2 months in advance, so this only requires 1-2 clicks on the month selection buttion. But this process is quite slow & tedious for events 1 year in advance, requiring around 12 clicks. Is there anyway to change the month selection to a drop down-style menu, or something like this that avoids such repetitive clicking? Thanks.

I'm currently between 2 project management programs and this is essentially a decisive factor for me. The Projects column isn't subdivided. When working with over 50 projects, it gets tedious to scroll through the different pages looking for the right project, especially if you don't remember the project name. Zoho Project has the option to move tasks from one task list to another task list within a project. To move a task, 1. Click on "Move Task" icon shown on mouse over over that particular task. 2. Select the required task list from the drop down and click on "Move Task" button.
