Document Overwritten
I opened one of my documents and the content has been changed. It is now the same as one of my other documents. How can I get the original document back? It's a report I have been working on for two weeks. The overwritten document is tagged as Auto Saved.
Unable to share documents
Hi, I'm trying to share two documents with Raju and Rodrigo (!) as well as my PR team. From the "Share this document" dialog box, I entered [email addresses removed]. (I also edited the invitation mail before clicking the "share" button.) In turn, the documents were shared to "vaca" (Rodrigo) and "cloudave". I have no idea who cloudave is, or how he/she/they got my invite and I've removed cloudave from my shared list. More, Raju and my PR team did not (apparently) get the share invite. I'm running

Creating new file in Writer's Offline mode
Hi, I'm currently using Ubuntu and switching most of my work to web-based applications and to be honest, Zoho is a killer However, is it possible to create new documents offline since my school's internet is not reliable. I know the best thing to do is create a new file online and add things to it later but life would be easier if this was done formally. If this hasn't been included, may I make a request for it? You really need to add multiple undos to the documents. You are dead in the water here if that feature is not added. paul_milbourn
Spell Check
Of late, I find that the spell check does not work the second time. To explain, having used the spell-check once, if one makes some changes in the document and click spell-check again, i get the indication that it is checking, but neither does it check nor does it disappear. Please help. (P.S. I am new to Zoho writer and I could not find anything in the forums. So if it has already been explained , kindly point it out to me.) Cheers.
Cannot copy and paste from Firefox to Word
When I open a document in FF, I cannot complete the above action. I can paste in to other files under the FF window, but not into Word. I don't have this problem with IE though. cambridgemta

Good morning Zoho We have been using Zoho writer at our school. It is excellent for collaboration but we have trouble getting it to work successfully each time. Sometimes it works - sometimes we cannot share documents - even though we have followed the same steps. Any suggestions? robynlynch

Hello, There is not an option to select a category when posting to my Typepad blog. Is this no longer an option? In addition, when I post to my blog and check "draft" it publishes it right away and does not save as a draft. Thanks, Marcos
Unable to import documents to remote API
As of today, we are unable to import ordinary .doc Word documents to the Zoho Writer Remote API. When we try to do so, a Zoho window opens, but the content area is entirely blank. Most of our students are reporting the same problem, and are unable to submit their assignments. Are you aware of a change on your end?
Unable to share a doument
I am trying to share a document with students in my class. I would like them to be able to access and edit the document. I have followed the directions for sharing the document with the class but students are reporting that, after following instructions, they are unable to access the document or that if they can see it they can't edit it. mike

Asus eee
The Asus 701 Netbook has only 640 x 480 screen resolution. But it does have the ability use Alt-Left mouse bar to move around the larger screen. That would useful if you not able to support the lower resolution.

Which part in partially encrypted SSL connection?
I prefer to view my documents in Writer in SSL to reduce chances of random people viewing the contents of my docs. When I access Writer with SSL, I see that there is only partial SSL encryption. What parts are encrypted, and what parts are not? Is the actual text of the docs encrypted?

Sharing Rights
I think a good idea would be to have three (or more...) different sharing licenses. As the author, you can share just so the other can read, so that they can only edit, so that they can edit and write, and... I don't know, can you think of something else? Give up primary authorship, perhaps? Along with this, it would be awesome if documents that have been edited were marked somehow. So that you knew what has been worked on by your fellows. Within the document, what has been changed could be hilighted
Does the writer support other format other than word
I am getting an "Unable to import content" error for other formats such as plain text and pdf.
Margin Difficulties
I embedded a slide show in my document, and now everything I write below that slide show is only going as far right as the right edge of my slide show (a little over half the screen). I don't know how to fix it, because the margins beneath the slide show are set at 10% just like the margins above it.
Size of imported documents
When clicking to import a document, it appears the information that its size should be 10 MB or less. So I tried it with a document with a size of about 2,5 MB (word.doc, only plain text, no images at all, no formatting). The system could not manage it: not only uploading was very slow but also it was not able to save the document. Finally I stopped the procedure and deleted the document. :? So why writing about 10 MB (or less), when the system is not even able to handle a document with 2,5 MB??

Hello, I've been searching the forums for clues on how to do this, but no luck so far: 1) Using the REMOTE API for Writer, is it possible to select the language for the Zoho interface? Collaborative Editing
When editing a document in collaboration with other people, each one has a paragraph locked (marked in their own color). Other people are not able to edit a paragraph while other is working on it. I think that the background color is quite good to know where other people is editing, but there should be the chance to edit the same paragraph at the same time. It is more relevant when the main author starts the document from copy&paste, because no one can edit it later if the author does not break it

remote API - session data not available for saveurl
I am using Zoho remote API in one of my web projects. The PHP script handling saveurl does session check for authorized users. But the API does not seem to post the session information to my remote server. I even tried appending PHPSESSID=..... to the saveurl specified in the initial editor form but it does not do anything either. Hi, I've seen inconsistent information in the documentation regarding what file formats are supported in the writer remote API. For instance, PDF has been listed, but I don't believe it is truly supported. Also, I think some .doc files don't quite work. Spaces between words disappear
Whenever I import a document (Word-doc) or whenever I copy and paste some text from such a document, there are a lot of lines (perhaps every 4th or 5th) in which the spaces between the words disappear. Remote API json response available?
Hi, I'm currently using the remote API to load a document in Zoho Writer and then have Writer save it back to my server. It's working great except that when I launch the writer, it is taking over the screen I was in, and then there is no way back to my application. Ideally, I would like to open an iFrame within my application that contains the writer. Deleting of documents does not work
The more I deal with the Zoho Writer programm, the more problems I see even with the most basic functions: Deleting of documents sometimes works, somtimes it does not. Just now I tried to delete some documents: for 2 or 3 of them it worked, for another one (completely the same structure) it does not. I click the delete-button again and again, but the document is not transferred to the trash.
Offline Mode
I am unable to find my documents in the offline mode. I have 2 while online, when I push the offline it says it is downloading two documents then goes to offline mode. On the left it does not show a 2 count nor can I get it to show my documents glpelletie
