The NSFW Content Blocker in Zoho Backstage uses AI to detect and block inappropriate or sensitive images uploaded to the event gallery. You can choose the types of content to screen, helping prevent selected categories of sensitive content from appearing in the gallery.
The configuration is synced with the event’s Gallery Settings, so changes to content moderation preferences are reflected across both settings.

Changes made in the portal-level AI Console determine the default configuration for new events and do not affect existing events. When the NSFW Content Blocker is enabled, AI processes images uploaded to the event gallery to identify content that falls under the categories selected for moderation.
You can choose which types of sensitive content should be blocked. The selected categories are applied to the event’s content moderation settings and determine the types of content the AI checks for when processing gallery images.
Before an image is uploaded, participants are informed that AI will process the image to identify and screen sensitive content. This provides visibility into the use of AI as part of the upload process.
You can enable the NSFW Content Blocker in the AI Console to make it enabled by default for new events.
You can configure the types of content that should be detected and blocked for an individual event from its AI Console.
The selected categories will be applied when images are screened for inappropriate or sensitive content.

The content categories give you control over the types of images that should be screened for your event. You can select the categories that are appropriate for your event instead of applying the same moderation criteria to every event.
For example, you can choose to screen images for explicit or suggestive content while also checking for images containing violence, drugs, or weapons. Your selections apply across the event’s content moderation settings.
If your moderation requirements change, return to the NSFW Content Blocker configuration and update the selected categories.
When a participant attempts to upload an image to a gallery where content screening is enabled, a Content Screening Notice is displayed before the upload continues.
The notice informs participants that AI will process the uploaded image to identify and screen sensitive content before it appears in the gallery. Participants can click Continue Upload to proceed or Cancel to return without continuing the upload.
Participants can also select Do not show this warning again if they do not want the notice displayed during subsequent uploads.
Once the participant continues, the uploaded image is processed according to the content categories configured for the event.
You can return to the event-level AI Console whenever you need to change the types of content being screened. Since these settings are synchronized with the Gallery Settings, changes to the moderation configuration are reflected across the corresponding content moderation settings.
This helps maintain the same moderation preferences regardless of where the configuration is updated.
You can disable the NSFW Content Blocker for an individual event from its AI Console. This stops the AI-powered content blocker for that event without affecting other AI features that remain enabled.
You can also change its default state for new events by disabling NSFW Content Blocker under Portal Settings > AI Console > Configure AI Features. This change applies only to events created afterward and does not affect existing events.
Disabling AI at the portal level changes the default AI configuration for new events. Existing events and their AI feature configurations are not affected.
